Federal Government of Nigeria Declares May 2 Public Holiday The Federal government of Nigeria (FG) had declared Monday, May 2 2016 as public holiday to commemorate the 2016 worker's day celebration. This was contained in a statement announced by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen.Abdulrahman dambazau (retd.), on Thursday in Abuja. The minister encouraged Nigerian workers on their resilience, hard work and commitment to the change matra of President Muhammadu Buhari despite current challenges.
