APC says Nigerians already experiencing change

– The APC chapter in UK says Nigeria is going through a
tough economic period but things will get better

– The party says diversifying the economy is the key to
the country’s rebirth

– It insists President Buhari is not selective in his anti-
corruption fight

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that Nigerians
have begun to feel the effect of change brought by the
administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Are Nigerians experiencing the change Buhari promised?
Leadership reports that Mr Ade Omole who is the national
coordinator of United Kingdom chapter of the APC gave this
assessment in an interview.

He said: “Nigerians are already experiencing the effect of
this Change. Yes, Nigerians have been experiencing the
effects of curbing the excesses of the previous government
with the difficult measures it has to adopt for the interest
and benefit of Nigerians. Nigeria’s Status and Goodwill
abroad have improved since the advent of this new
Government. There is a reason why the Sages say that,
“patience is a virtue.”

“According to the Speaker, House of Representatives,
Yakubu Dogara, Nigerians will begin to reap the dividends
of promises made by the All Progressives Congress when
the 2016 budget is passed into law. Dogara urged Nigerians
to exercise more patience with the APC-led government to
fulfill its campaign promises.”

On the issue of corruption and the claim by some critics
that it was lopsided, Omole claimed t wasn’t true.
“There have been comments by the opposition that the
anti-corruption war is a personal vendetta of the President
and that no convictions have been obtained. This is
because this government is careful not to witch-hunt
anyone. The sheer force of personality and reputation of
the President has caused unprecedented events where
persons who had ill-gotten gains voluntarily began to return
stolen or ill-gotten wealth to the nation’s coffers. For those
who had to be prosecuted, the government is patiently
allowing the law to take its course.

“It would be good for this government in aggressively
pursuing the anti-corruption agenda to look into the
reasons behind this symptom in our Society because
corruption is a symptom of a graver societal ill where
allegiance and belief in the nationhood of Nigeria is in
question. The issues of the minorities in the polity should
be examined and this government should examine the
reports in the national confabs that have treated this issue
critically and sincerely.”

When asked about the current state of the economy, the
APC coordinator admitted that things was tough due
overreliance on oil but the government was working on
diversifying to make the economy stable.

“It is important to keep in mind that the Nigerian Economy
has been essentially mono-cultural from a commercial and
income producing standpoint. This government
understands the importance of diversification and tapping
into the wealth and healthy raw material resources we have
and generate multiple economic income streams. This
government is looking at those industries that have been
comatose with a view to revitalising them and stimulating
growth in other areas. This is one reason this government
is fixated on tackling the power issue and is looking into
alternative energy source opportunities.

“There is no doubt that there has been rot in the system
and the antidote to this rot is not necessarily palatable and
for the panacea to be effective you would need a strong
stomach. The APC led government is aware that inheriting
such a position and putting them right would most likely
make it unpopular – hopefully for the short term. The
much needed beneficial results should, however, manifest
in the not too distant future. The discerning and
knowledgeable electorate, we are sure, would have this in
mind when they revisit the polls after this government’s
first term tenure ends.

“Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown they say and so
it is with the new government. The government rode in on
a high and is determined to maintain that goodwill. This is
why they have gone on an expansive enlightenment
programme to keep the citizens informed about the state of
the nation. They have not pretended that the solutions
would be easy or that it would not bite but they have made
it clear that it is necessary and ultimately in our best
interests as a nation, as a people and as a citizen of our
great country.”

As a zombie I love eating flesh of those that should know better.

Change is a process.

Sometimes it is spontaneous some other times the transformation is unobservable to the bystander. It often takes a look away and return from the event to observe its new appearance.

Nigerians are beginning to look away from government and oil as our sole source of income.

I have began to see a rise in cottage industries even as gargantuan factories cut down on labour.

The anti-corruption war has made money laundering and outright stealing from the public purse less attractive. The fear of being investigated by EFCC, the inability to procure justice and various court injunctions make the elite more cautious.

We can do much better.

Yet, Nigeria is changing and for the better too.

That cannot be denied.

Of course we are experiencing it - Negative change.

*We now queue for petrol, It's becoming a normal thing.
*Price of groceries have skyrocketed
*Fulani mafias now kill with reckless abandon.
*Power situation is in a sorry state.
*The economy is in shambles
*the president is dull.
*The government doesn't act, but blame the previous administrations.
*Jobs are being lost at a geometric rate.

Now tell me if these aren't "change".

WAILERS will argue with no facts

Claim massacre with no Evidence

Counter a good news with Bad news

and Blame Buhari in every possible way

But what they won't tell you is that Power has been constant for a while now , it's not 24 hours stable, but we know the timetable /shedding schedules and we don't get disappointed

They won't tell you there's no queues in petrol stations and they won't tell you they bought petrol for 110 yesterday , but if you challenge them they'll say it's expensive ( Still blame Buhari as if he controls petrol stations )

They won't tell you that Boko Haram has been reduced to pile of Dust and Fulani herdsmen are just another way of making Buhari look like an erdyot , but deep in their minds , they know it's safer for them than it was in previous administration

They will condemn APC governors for owing workers their salaries , but won't talk about Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi , Okezie Ikpeazu and others that despite the huge allocations still owe workers

I am not surprised anymore and i won't be because nothing will ever be good enough for hypocrites

May be the title is deceptive or the UK chapter is not seeing the change yet but anticipate for one.

- The APC chapter in UK says Nigeria is going
through a tough economic period but things will get better.

–The party says diversifying the economy is the
key
