TRI FUEL CARBURETOR
The Tri Fuel Carburetor enables you to use three types of fuel to power your Electric Generating Set. This gives you the option to switch between three types of fuel which are Gasoline popularly known as Petrol in Nigeria, CNP (Compressed Natural Gas) which is available but not very commonly used in Nigeria and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) also known as Propane, or Cooking Gas.

ADVANTAGES OF POWERING YOUR GENERATOR WITH LPG OR CNG
Generators using propane are cleaning and emit less harmful fumes. Standard generators, which run on gasoline produce more odors and can stain or contaminate the surrounding surfaces. Propane, on the other hand is just gas and will dissipate as the generator runs.

COST EFFECTIVE
Propane is cheaper and more efficient than gasoline. You’ll save a lot of money when you use propane to run your generator because it makes it to last longer and reduce the cost of maintenance due to the fact that there is very little carbon emission from gas, the carburetor won’t be stained and the engine oil will not also get easily black. This makes the generator to experience less wear and tear.

IT IS SAFER
Using propane to power your generator minimizes the possibilities of fire hazards since you don’t need to manually refuel and refill the fuel into to generator. While gasoline generators must be refueled by their owners, on the other hand with propane generators all you need to do is to plug in the gas from the gas can thereby avoiding an possibility of fire accidents.

IT’S MORE DEPENDABLE
Propane can be stored for a long time without evaporating, if you don’t use the generator for a long time, propane will not evaporate unlike gasoline. Gasoline when stored in a container for a long time it evaporates. When stored in the sun, it can explode. Gasoline stays the way it is for as long as you want provided the can is not leaking. The only reason why propane can be hazardous is when it is used in an enclosed environment. This is because the air has to be concentrated with propane before it can be ignited. This is impossible if it is used in an open space because even if there is a leakage the fresh air will dilute it immediately hence it cannot be ignited.

AVAILABILITY
Gasoline is often scarce and expensive especially in Nigeria. Apart from that, you have to get to the filling station to buy gasoline. Whereas propane is readily available in most neighborhoods making it readily available for use.

The Tri Fuel Carburetor is now available in Nigeria. And it’s gaining acceptance from Nigerians. It is very easy to install, it’s just as easy as changing the carburetor of your Generator. You can place your order by contacting Emmanuel on 08036074999

Gas does not easily explode. Most Nigerians have phobia for Gas because they have a wrong impression about it. The only reason why gas can explode is when it is concentrated in the air, i.e when the air is saturated with gas. The question then is, how can the air be saturated or concentrated with gas if the gas is outside in the open. The answer is "IT IS IMPOSSIBLE" the only reason this can happen is when you put your gas in an enclosed and poorly ventilated room, and I believe nobody should be foolish enough to do that especially when using it with a generator.

In this case Gas is safer than Gasoline popularly know as petrol in Nigeria

2 to 3.5 generators = N20,000 including free installation within Lagos

4.5 generators upwards = N25,000 including free installation within Lagos

That depends on the capacity of your generator but I assure that it is at least 20% cheaper than petrol, when you also compare maintenance cost it is far more cheaper and it prolongs the life span of your generating set. It is also more environment friendly, and you avoid the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning

nice post. I use compressed natural gas (CNG) for my car. Its like 40% more economical than petrol.

I know you are refering to liquefied gas. That is cooking gas.

you said this gas is like 20% cheaper than gasoline(petrol).
Its hard to compare with price-ratios. because maybe as at when you did this evaluation, official price of fuel was cheaper than it is at present.

so instead let's compare with combustion/absorption ration.

or compare with current official price of petrol which is 145naira/litre.

what would it cost to buy the gas that would equal the work done by 145naira fuel?

2nd question:
can you please compare the liquefied natural gas to the compressed gas?

So because of this news now, "Female final year student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University,Biochemistry department, Miss Veronica Ezeh Chioma, died of gas explosion last week in the school hostel.
The death was as a result of the gas explosion last week in the school hostel.
May his soul rest in peace (amen)."
means using of gas isn't safe? undecided,...common analyse this well..it occured in her hostel, I'm 70% sure it was in her room precisely because some girls are fond of that...I had some experiences with that. An explosion occur when the cylinder leaks, in a poor ventilated environment which the victim before the incidence out of ignorance bother not to observe n take it outside in the open airtime for neutralizing the environment before igniting the fire.

So, this link doesn't vindicate this thread, rather criticizes it. angry, but with detailed explanation up there that open environment is safer, no doubt about this that it's gonna be the next BIG thing. wink

Hi Victor, it's almost two years since you posted this thread. However, I'm only seeing it today smiley Please answer my question anyways. Do I need to change my engine to enable it work with gas? Or does this carburetor somehow manage to make the petrol engine work with LPG or CNG
