Has any one here done an HIV/AIDS test recently? How does it feel?

So, here is the deal, i have been feeling all kinds of feeling lately, got treated for malaria, yet it persist, i have catarrh for almost a month now, have high temperature, get tired very easily, constant headache and so on. All wat i can think of is I'm positive, bcoz anything i get treated for, it still persist.

To make matters worst, I have an ex that tested positive for HIV /AIDS recently.

So, i have decided to do the HIV /AIDS screening today. While i read a lot about HIV, I am scared to the bone to do this test, I was up, all night, roll from left to right and right to left, pray to God for it to be negative, even made promises to God for that.

All kinds of things going through my head right now, as i am typing this. Anyone in the house did test recently? How do u cope with ur fears? And how do u cope with someone fear of being positive? Will be updating this post as i go for my HIV screening today

Have always been extra careful and no fling at all. That's y i never did she test.

You should be scared.

the hospital you treated all these ailment already know your status,except there was never a bloodtest involved in the treatment of you.

no need to fear,except you had lived a promiscuous life. even at that,the possibility of you contracting it through sex is minimal.

Fear is something we all face everyday. Sometimes we make mistakes and sometimes these mistakes result in consequences we cannot reverse, but still we need to know how to deal with the outcome because most times, someone else has been in the same position and was able to find a way to deal with the situation. If we can learn from them, it opens our eyes and helps us realize that we can also deal with the same situation. Having said this, Before you do the test, prepare yourself and get counseling especially from the professional that will test you. This helps you to cope with the outcome of the result and decide what to do next. If negative, good, you need to take precaution and get tested further to know what is exactly wrong. The professional will guide you with the outcome of your test.Its better to know your status now than wish many years later that you did it today.

this remind me of a friend that said he rather die then do HIV test - knowing you're positive alone will kill someone.. but bro.. just go do the test and decide in your mind that what ever happens you are going to take responsibility .. I believe the main thing in life is life itself ... so there is still hope bro.. I pray you come out negative and come here to give testimony with the suspense wey go first attack you for clinic.

When people learn to keep their health issues private it goes a long way to make relief better than throwing up everything to this public forum!

Worst test ever.
A lot of people prefer to stay ignorant about it.
So many intercourse without protection.
A regular male or female at the age of 24 has slept with an average of 8 without protection (Just an opinion).

However, the test is still one of the most Important one you could ever do.

HIV / AIDS, re not air borne disease nah..

In as much as I don't pray u test negative .. just go for the test and end these fears of the unknown

It could be another ailment though,you should have gone to another hospital to run tests...the thing is i seriously doubt it to be hiv.

So just man up ,be positive and do the needful(go for ur hiv test)

I have had that experience before. I know what you must be going through. And to be candid, you will be more tensed and surely want to go burst while awaiting the result. However, you might actually need to calm down and tell yourself that you are meant for greater things. You have not fulfilled your purpose, and nothing is going to stop you from becoming all you were destined to become.

If GOD could give me happiness after my own test, He will do the same and more to you.

Even if you're positive op, don't worry, it no big deal, everybody must not be negative..
