Omoni Oboli’s Wives on Strike is the latest Nigerian movie to score big at the domestic box office, earning ₦60million since its release.
According to twitter posts from the director/actress of the movie, Wives on Strike achieved this feat in just 25days and seeing as the movie is scheduled to expand its release into Ghana on the 13th of May, it is expected that the total amount earned by the movie in its entire cinema run and sales of DVD might almost double this amount.

While the amount earned by Wives on Strike is admirable, the question of what the production and marketing costs of the movie were does come to mind. In addition to details of the costs incurred to produce and market the project being made available, details of the Nigerian box office figures on a weekly basis would not be a bad idea.
