MY HONEST REVIEW

Redmi 7 is fabulous, no issues with proximity sensor, camera is superb and i am not even using gcam, battery life is very okay, display is perfect in sunlight, call volume very okay except if you have thick wax in your ears grin
It has a very sleek nice feel and the fone looks like premium grade. I used the chager in the box and the fone charges fast ( i wonder why they say its not fast). Sound/music from the speaker is perfect. I am not getting adverts and the few that popped up, i turned them off in recommendations. I am using the theme that came with the fone and i love it; i am not really a fan of twerking fones. Discovered so many cool features on the fone that pleases me. I am glad to be a xiaomite! smiley

N.B. dont watch YouTube reviews, those guys are drunk. I really cant see any thing bad about the fone

I am not paid for anything, Nigerians should always learn to fight for each other, and not let other fall into same trap, i have my receipt and the video of how the phone was doing. Check through facebook b4 they came to Nigeria i have been the one promoting them. I got the phone with my hard earned money 75500 naira, and i got it at Raya Ikeja, the phone is less than a month and it started misbehaving i contacted them on facebook and i was told to take it back to Raya that i will get it fixed, after 2 weeks i did not hear from them i went back and the lady showed me list of others that have dropped theirs before me with same issue and yet to be fixed i was so angry and i contacted them again, a sale rep called me that the parts are not in Nigeria yet. I told him my phone screen is not broken and the phone is less than a month, so my warranty should not make me go through all this stress. He said there is nothing they can do i should hold on till they bring the parts to Nigeria. Aftering spending 75500 less than a month and that is all they can tell me, i was blocked from their page not to make further comments and no solution is provided. I will post my screenshot of our conversation here and if i can post the voice recorded with the sales rep i will also do that. If you got your phone from ali express you might not experience this but all the ones sold here in Nigeria are pure scarp

I am not lying, the Redmi note 7 sold in Nigeria are pure scarp.
I have ordered for the same phone from ali express, to show you i love the phone so much. I have my receipt and the video of how the phone was doing before i dropped it at Raya. The phone did not drop or whether the screen was broken, my phone is just as neat as it came . I was just chatting and the phone started misbehaving. Check out the screenshot of my chats with dem. I can't tag voice note, i could have dropped the recorded voice note here with the sale rep. The reason why I put up the post is because i was blocked from their page without a solution that is highly unprofessional, after spending 75500 in less dan a month and all they could do is to block me, meaning to hell with me ni yen abi?

JennyOfOldstones:
She's not lying. She actually has a RN7 but she's not saying the truth about all those pages blocking her. She said her phone has been at Raya for a while and nobody is taking her case seriously. she's just impatient and I'm trying to see if I can help her get a replacement phone

My questions don dey plenty nowadays oh

I'm having this argument with an electronics retailer that it is possible to hook up a small USB hub to a phone and connect stuff like Flash drives, keyboards, mouse and even printer USB cables as if the phone were a laptop (PS: it's just a theory sha)

He is of the opinion that it'll fry the phone's mother board or at the very least destroy the phone's battery.

So I want to go and prove him wrong today. Is it possible to use a portable (non-powered) USB hub on an android device?

Gptech

Nothing will fry.

I once used my redmi note 3 to charge an infinix phone using otg cable.

I occasionally use a usb mouse to navigate through my phone if I'm lazy to use my fingers

Paid for what? Nigerians are so funny, instead of you to look into the situation and provide a solution, you are here covering up for chinko.if you are closer to them, you speak sense into their brain, they cant just come to Nigeria and be treating us like shit. I have dropped the screenshot of my chat with them. I only did what i did because they had the guts to block me without providing a solution, meaning what? They can just treat anybody any how after coughing out 75500

Trex4:
Shes Definitely A paid agent. Not because I'm a Xiaomi guy but that's the truth. This Nigerian culture of name calling and dirt hurling just goes everywhere. I Mean 30 people complaining of screen? Imagine going to a store and seeing 30 people complaining of screen. Did she ask all 30 of them? Even With no pictures to prove? The way she just calls Xiaomi a scam and goes on to say it should be investigated. Sha no matter the troubles, Xiaomi is here to stay.

Besides I want to hear Oga Gptech's contribution grin

Ma,am. It's very unfortunate that you had to experience this. I understand your anger especially since you were blocked. I think you should go to their main office at the MI building instead of Raya to complain about this. Go with your receipts, your phone and the screenshots of the messages. If you have a warranty card go with it too. Insist of them giving you a new device. Warranties should cover both replacement and fixing. It's even best they replace especially since it's not up to a month you bought it. They should only be talking about repairing it if it's more than 6 months old

A lot of people using Redmi Note 7 on this thread got it from Nigeria here and not AliExpress as you claimed.

Also remember that there is no OEM with no production flaw, some units are that way wether you buy from AliExpress or your next door neighbour.

Now back to your issue, did you update your phone or did it come in contact with any liquid before the flickering began.

As a new product in the market am not even sure most those people at Raya have the experience or technical know-how some people have here when it comes to Xiaomi devices.

Emabinu so gbon.

Ehen, your case is the first one we're seeing. It's completely out of the ordinary. Personally I use the 4/64 version and it has been smooth sailing. With the exception of iPhone 7 and above plus Samsung S8+ and above, it has beaten most phones I have used to compete with it in a speed test. Especially all the Transsions as far as to the Infinix S4 both for speed, camera and charging

So this your story dey one kind for our ear. It's a bad experience. I went through the same in the hands of Leagoo too so I understand how you feel. On behalf of the NL family, I say ejoor. No vex abeg

Hopefully a solution would be found soon.

Attached is my own phone. Na all of us here dey use or hoping to use. Even Madgoat is now a believer.
