In the rrall WhatsApp settings its (not the yo settings), I discovered show media in gallery was turned off by default upoi. Installation. I turned it on and restarted device, he still no dey show. When I tapped on the media section in the contact's profile, it asked what app I want to open the pix in. When I chose "photo", the option to save it pop up. When I did, it showed in gallery. It's quite an herculean task saving all my files one by one like that. Do you mind replying your pm so I don't disturb the thread with my wahala?

No need to pretend you care about the thread after you were so fast to rubbish it and recommend Google. Do you even know how Google works? Is the same Google not going to end up bringing up some Nairaland pages?

Coming to your factual evidence on Charging, I am forced to question your knowledge on Google once again here. A person that understands how it works should know all it takes is to type in specific keywords to get related web articles, youtube videos, Images and a lot more.
Well, your limited knowledge on Tech won't let you know that.

When you are ready to learn you will drop your elevated shoulder pads and learn from people more knowledgeable than you.

well you may be right tho... My battery is 5k and I get full battery less than 2hrs with 10w charger.. That's why I said slow... Concept of quick charge is paper talks.. Am talking of firsthand review

So you mean all I wrote is fallacy. Let me inform you when I got my RN5 without usage the charge time was 1:55mins but it got slower with time. Use your for like 3months then you get your theories straight. Also get an 18W charger and see how fast it charges.

Also remember I use a micro USB and not a type C port. So before you go all ballistic sit down think factor in the differences between two devices before talking.

Except if you now tell me type C is the same speed with Micro USB.

It might also interest you that the charge time with my 18W charger is faster when I put my phone on aeroplane mode

Na small pikin dey reason like this. If people helping others with their issues on here have to own the device before they can be taken seriously, do you think this thread will be this popular?

Must a phone technician own your Redmi 8 before he can help you repair it? undecided

If you own a Redmi 8 and it takes considerably way less than 2 hrs 50 mins or thereabout to charge your phone from 0 - 100% using the follow come 10W charger in the box, then your phone's battery might be faulty.

Even an 18W quick charge will not charge your Redmi 8 less than 2 hrs from 0 - 100%.

If you find anything contrary to what I stated engage me and state your case and we might both learn something new in process.

A quick search on Youtube will bring up several video reviews of Charging test of Redmi 8. Don't let anybody mislead you.

As long as you are not using the phone during the charging process around 95-100mins
does note 5 support 18wtts charging

So we should let every tom, dick and harry make fallacious claims about specific devices because they own the devices in question.

1:35mins is slow. Last I know the Mi 9 Pro with 40W charges fully just under an hour(48Mins) to be exact.

Normal charge is 2hrs 15mins i.e 10W charging on the RN5.

QC only works at peak between 0-80% then slow charges from there not to spoil battery.

Your should read about quick charge and understand the concept more
this is correct, mine takes that time to fully charge with default charger of RN5

There is no need quoting a character that have sort to ridicule himself.
Bring an evidence of your claim or forever hold your peace.
You own a phone doesn't mean you know how it works.
Like I stated earlier, drop your pride and learn.

If owning a device suddenly transform you to an authority over all the issues pertaining to such device, why then are you on the net seeking and asking for solutions to issues pertaining to such device? :-

QC QC QC here and there is just from 0-75% within 30-35mins of charging, 10w might not achieve that, but from 0-100% the difference between QC and 10w is very negligible because of QC's slow charging from 80% to 100%, this is informed by my own personal experience, I use Redmi Note 5 AI + Celbro QC charger.

This is my own opinion you can counter it politely, please.
