Good evening everyone, pls why do people like putting custom rom and other roms in a phone especially Xiaomi, is the company global rom not grt to be contended with. Just need to know pls

Nothing much, it's basically those who like to further tweak and customize their devices.
There are also many who don't do that.
Nothing wrong if you choose, or choose not to.

That term especially Xiaomi is very wrong. Go to XDA and check through several OEMs that users troop in to look in and get custom ROMS and Mod Kits.

If you take in a percentage of people that use their phones ROM and Custom ROM, you would find out that those who use custom ROM are in the vast minority.

This is mid-week. If you want to get a Xiaomi phone do, if not no biggie, stop looking for a flimsy excuse to give as why you changed your mind.

My one cent with no iota of animosity or bias.

Very poor charging habits.. Charge yr fone to 100%, not these partial charges that just end up destroying yr battery calibration
Note taken? Could it possibly be MiUI 11 that's causing the battery drain? I'm on version 11.0.4

Hello house, my mi9 is stuck on this, what do I do?

I eventually got this fixed. I flashed the fastboot rom through MiFlash. Apparently the phone has some damage to the power button and volume buttons and that's the reason it wouldn't respond to any of those buttons while stuck on startup.

I took it to an engineer to open the phone and press the power button and co directly on the panel, and viola! It worked. Can't believe something as simple as that has prevented from using the phone since July sad

Thanks Gptech, acekid109, genius43, busuyi44 and all.

the fact I use custom ROMs doesn't mean anything

Right now am miui believe miui is the most stable among all and it is better than one UI in my opinion but that wasn't still a reason for me not to go behind the walls

For the time I even used iOS I could bear for 4 days,

Quite ironic someone like me bought the device just because of custom ROMs
Because custom ROMs prolongs phones life

I think I'll just stick to this phone for now. Planned on getting RN8, but I'll just wait

I hope you know that:

1. You are on battery saver. And that

2. Browsing on WiFi saves a lot of battery compared to browsing on mobile data?

If you really want to gauge your battery stats, do away with the above two features.

Quick ball things as alternative to physical buttons, will help prolong life of your buttons if you switch to using it in place of the buttons.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with this battery chart.. Your screen on time is excellent.. What exactly are your expectations?
Maybe you missed out my previous post where I said I managed to get 7hrs SOT with only 7% remaining on battery.

I tried it in the past just to see stock android plus different customization offered by the custom roms. Havoc, Arrow, Lineage, Omni, and the best miui based ROM for me, EU Xiaomi.
Those Aosp based roms have plenty customizations but buggy and battery issues like slow charging, faster battery drain.

Now I just use my devices as dy come from the factory, no more flashing. I can't give myself BP again because of bootloop (happened once while flashing EU miui ROM), brickland issue
