I actually got the update too on my note 8 pro yesterday and was excited and didn't update yet. So I had to restart my device yesterday evening and wanted to update with night plan. So early this morning I didn't get the update anymore and went to the settings to update manually and I was told I have the latest version on MiUI 11. Till now no update. Did anyone experience this or know what might be the cause?

Baba calm down, e go show very soon. I'm also on EU rom and I haven't gotten the update, but it doesn't worry me one bit because it's assured, that much is enough for me.

The update is dropping in batches. I wouldn't know why but if I were to speculate, I would say it's in order to catch any major bug early, that would require a roll back of the update. Just imagine everyone gets the update once and there's a major bug on it, everyone that has that model ends up with a broken phone, not cool. Chill man.

Just speculating.

Sometimes I hardly see the contents on the screen especially when I'm playing games like dream league.

It's okay on websites and WhatsApp but I couldn't bear it on games so I turned it off.

If you spend most of your time indoors, you can turn it off but if outdoors, it's better to turn it on. You should note that you cannot get maximum brightness even if you manually turn it all the way up in many screens, you can only achieve that with auto brightness. See the screenshot below.

You'll get the pop up again. You can change region to India and back to Nigeria or keep clicking 'check for updates'.
