Since the crusades, in which many books of the Islamic Scholars fell into the hands of the enemies and the power and greatness of Islamic ideology was revealed to them, a tremendous fear of Islam was created in their hearts. Since then, they looked for a way to present Islam’s vast progress and expansion because otherwise they would not have their reached their shameful goals.

Their fear of Muslim increased in the years after the Middle Ages when the enemies of Islam by using books and knowledge of Islamic Scholars archived great progress in the field of science and technology. Further aggravating this fear were the establishment of the Ottoman Empire which was to be great power in the region and the existence of small Islamic movement for the revival of Islam. Hence, they decided to destroy the Ottoman Empire and retain their superiority by dividing the Muslims. But, because of the discovery of oil in the Islamic states and emergence of liberation movements which united Muslims to regain their past greatness, the enemies decided to make their supervision over these states permanent by installing a scarecrow in the region, so that there would be a great constant source of dispute among Muslims as we are witnessing today especially in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt and in West African countries of Nigeria, Chad, Mali, Cameroun, Niger, Burkina-Faso and Cote De Voir.

Due to the existence of spirit of unity in the ideology of Muslims which occasionally manifested itself, they reached the conclusion to destroy the nucleus of this unity so as to leave no name of Islam and no enemy for themselves. Hence, they designed a deceitful plan and took advantage of Zionist prejudices and racism and found them the best people they could use for this goal. By occupying Jerusalem, they paved the way for the invasion of other sacred Islamic centres and chanted the slogan of “from Nile to Euphrate” as the boundaries of the original Zion (land of Jews). Aggression, occupation, and annexation of land were the strategies they used.

Palestine, historically, has always been exposed to various incidents which sometimes amaze the human being in their dimensions. The land of Palestine is particularly important because of it’s special geographical location. A lot has been said of the settlement of Jews from other countries in Palestine, the assistance extended by Britain and France in this regard, the manner in which the Zionist regime was of this regime’s influence in this region.

The history occupation of Palestine by Zionists shows that the reactionary regimes of the region have always tried to again prestige by pretending that they support the ‘Palestinian Ideal’. But in the time of crisis and when the “Palestinian ideal” and the oppressed people of Palestine practically needed help a deadly silence came over the reactionary regimes and they dealt with problem as if nothing unexpected had happened.

Today, the world of Islam looks forward and holds the day of Quds at a time when the reactionary regime of the region have taken the ‘Palestinian ideal’ to alter the history in order to secure the position of their rulers.

Farsightedness and awareness of great leader of Islamic Revolution, Late Imam Khomeini, who for years, has been shouting against the Quds occupying regime and it’s supporters are revealed in his leadership of the deprived of the liberation of Iran which would result in the liberation of Quds. The method that Late Imam has chosen for the struggle, i.e unity which is also one of the most important advices of the Quran is undoubtedly the best method for the liberation of Quds.

Late Imam Khomeini, by choosing a very important day among Muslims selected an easy way for this unity. The Last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan (the month of Fasting) in which the Muslims fast for twenty some days and are almost purified has been designated as the day of Quds. This day is one of the “Qadr” nights the virtue of each night of which according to one verse on Quran, exceeds that of a thousand months. Beside, that, it is a day which Muslims gather in one place and listen to the sermons of the Friday prayer. Also, it is a day when the Ummah recognizes it’s goals and repels any kind of danger by it’s unity. And what danger is worse than Zionism and it’s supporters?

One of the message of the Late Imam on the occasion of the global day of Quds is as follows:

“I ask all Muslims of the world and the Islamic states to unite in order to cut the hands of this usurpers and it’s supports off. Invite all Muslims of the world to recognize the last Friday of the blessed month of Ramadan which is one of the ‘Qadr’ day can also determine the fate of the Palestinian people, as the day of Quds, and in a ceremony announce the International Solidarity of Muslims in support of the lawful rights of the Muslim people of Palestine”.

This day in which millions of Muslims come together has many characteristics some of which can be understood through the message of late Imam Khomeini.

(1) Day of distinction between truth and falsehood: “Day of Quds is day of distinction between truth and false. It is the day of separation of truth and falsehood”.

(2) Day of reviving Islam: “Day of Quds is the day of Islam. Day of Quds is the day when Islam should be revived and we should revive it and Islamic laws should be executed in the Islamic states”.

(3) Day of revitalizing Islam: “Day of Quds is the day of revitalizing Islam. Muslims should wake up and realize the extent of their power, whether materialistic or spiritual, Muslims comprises about three billion of the world’s population. They have the support of Allah and Islam and Faith. What should they be afraid off?

(4) Day of Islamic Sovereignty: “Day of Quds is not just the day of Palestine. It is the day of Islam and the day of Islamic sovereignty. It is a day on which the flag of the Islamic Republic should be hoisted throughout all countries. It is a day on which we should make the superpower understand that they cannot move forward in the Islamic states.

(5) The day which Muslims move Forward: “The governments of the world should know that Islam is invincible. Islam by teaching of Quran should conquer all countries. Islam should be the divine religion. Islam is the religion of Allah and should move forward everywhere. Day of Quds is the announcement of this fact. It is an announcement of Muslims advances in every part of the world”.

(6) Day of equipping forces: “It is a day on which we should equip all our forces. Our forces should be taken out of isolation and stood up against enemies with all of their strength and power. And we have stood against the enemies with total strength”.

(7) Day of confrontation of the Oppressors with oppression: “ it is the day of confrontation of the oppressors with the oppressions, it is the day of confrontation of nations which were under American and non-American oppression. It is the day on which the oppressed should be equipped against the oppressors”.

( Day of determination of fate and uprising of the deprived: “Day of Quds is a day on which the fate of the deprived should be determined. The deprived nations should show their existence to the oppressors.

(9) Day of warning superpowers: “Day of Quds is a day on which the superpowers should be warned to leave the deprived alone and mind their own business. Day of Quds is a day on which we should warn the superpowers that Islam will no longer be dominated by them and their wicked agents”.

(10) Day of thwarting the Satan’s ambitions: “Day of Quds is the announcement of the fact that satan want to set the Islamic nations aside and bring the superpowers in, Day of Quds is the day which their ambitions are thwarted”.

(11) Day of liberation of Quds: “It is a day on which you and us should strive for the liberation of Quds from these pressures. It is a day on which we must free all the deprived from the claws of superpowers”.

(12) Day of distinguishing the supporters and opponents of Islam: “ Day of Quds is a day on which we will find out the global conspirators and disagree with Islam. Those who do not participate are anti-Islam and Pro-Israel. And those who do participate are committed, pro-Islam and against all enemies of Islam headed by America and Israel”.

All the speeches of Late Imam Khomeini represent the necessity of unification of all Muslims. This point should also be mentioned that Muslims should not have any hopes on governments because the majority of them are not more than dependent, puppet regimes. Not only do the government not feel the ability for struggle inside themselves but they do not even let the idea of fighting the Quds occupying regime to enter their mind. Muslims of the world should all carry their arms and after purifying their countries from their existence of foreign agents should liberate the Quds by an armed demonstration with millions of Muslims participating.
