Liam Hemsworth may have shut down rumors that he and Miley Cyrus are engaged again (despite Miley wearing her engagement ring), but they're still going to weddings together and walking through airports hand-in-hand.

Even though Miley and Liam are no longer shy about showing affection in public, the pair still refuses to address their rekindled relationship publicly. Now, Liam is opening up about why.

When asked if he and Miley were engaged during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Liam responded, "I just find it's easier to not talk about my personal life because usually I say the wrong thing, so it ends up just complicating things more."

Even though the reporter pressed for more wedding details, all Liam would reveal was, "Everyone's happy."

It's easy to forget that Miley and Liam are just two people who may not know exactly what's going on with their relationship themselves. Having it play out in the public eye probably complicates it even more, so it's understandable why he'd rather not talk about it publicly.

With that said... he didn't deny being engaged this time around and it's been a few months since he shut down the initial engagement rumors. A lot can happen in that time.
