pls i want all the phone gurus on Nairaland to help me out. my first Tecno Android i bought like 3yrs ago, use to find it so difficult to load my phone contact sometimes it will take up to 30 mins to load it, this makes me to abandon the phone cos it really frustrating and buy a new Infinix Zero2 last yr which i enjoy not until 3moths ago, the same problem i was having on my former tecno begin to occur on this zero2 and which i don't find it funny. sometimes i will have to wait for like 10 mins b4 i could get the contact on my phone b4 i could make call. pls i want 2 ask is there anything i could do about it or that is how android fones use to behave after sometimes?

pls i need ur help cos i cannot afford to buy any fone now, not when dollar no gree come down. thanks

Maybe it's the ram of the phone that's full

Its android in general after a certain amount of time after buying it you start noticing some glitches and hangs on an android, some of these highend phones try to correct that, but you are still stuck on an MTK phone and believe chinese phones are the worst culprit when it comes to hanging unnecessarily and slowing down _stupidly after months of usage.. What you can do is hard reset the phone or flash a new rom and make it a pratice of hard resetting every 3months.

Go for better android...

I've been on android for over 5 years and I've never experienced such.



I once had an mtk phone which works superbly. It could be that his sim card has some malware disturbing the phone

you won't understand.. If you knew the works of cache files, background and data apps get filled easily on android.. Especially low end droid phones.. If you doubt me, try get an mtk device right this minute and full up the internal memory not memory card with either movies or musics or anything, in less than 10 minutes you will notice a superb lag in operations .. This one is even the one you did yourself the one the phone caches on its on to the memory are unknown all you can do time to time is hardreset or don't load up your phone ... Highend android phones don't have this issue because of the good hardwares they use in the making of the phones but at the long run android still proves it is android on it by bring in some little lags after like 4 to 5months of usage ..

Do you have to true caller installed in your phone? It may be what is causing it. I have experienced this same problem and its really really frustrating because you can't do anything about it.

When i deleted the true caller and true dailer in my phone, my contacts had an instant brain reset and ever since, i haven't had any problem.
I use a Gionee M3.

guy, I had gionee elife e5 then and it's not an high end phone. I used it for over a year without lag and it has just one GB ram.



Like I said earlier, his issue is the 1st I'm seeing it reading about anywhere. I know phones slow down with age but not to the point of opening contacts for 10 minutes

Hello tolexy007, you can try to move the contacts to the phone(save the contacts in the phone, rather than the simcard). Or try to restore factory settings, but remember to back up important files. the lag is apparently caused by low memory...maybe cache memory or too much junk files laying around.

my advice download one of those cleaner aps from playstore. just search for cleaner on playstore and download any one with the most downloads.

also free up your internal memory. hope this helps.
