Why The Hyena Limps by Nobody: 3:40am On May 14, 2016
A long, long, very long time ago, the Hyena walked perfectly like the cheaters and the lions.

It all started on one fateful day, when the Eagles were planning a party up in the skies where they live. As they were making their plans and talking about all the sumptuous foods that they would be serving, Hyena got very interested in attending that party. Hyena loved food. He still does.

Hyena approached the Eagles and requested to attend the party. The Eagles agreed to fly him up to the sky where the party was.

On the day of the party, all the Eagles attended, and Hyena was flown to the party, which was held in the clouds. Hyena was excited at what he saw. The eagle's had prepared all kinds of roasted meat, fried meats and stews. They had served all kinds of tasty drinks and sweets, and the Hyena could not control himself anymore.

Hyena pounced on the food and swept through it, and forgot about the other guests, the eagle's who had come to eat together and celebrate. He ate everything, as the Eagles watched, surprised. He ate so much that he could barely move. The Eagles were angry at his manners, they left the party and Hyena in anger.

Hyena realized he needed the eagle's to get back to earth and pleaded with the eagle's to take him back before leaving. But the eagle's were so angry at Hyena's bad manners. They ignored him and left him alone in the clouds to punish him.

Hyena knew he could not stay up there for a very long time. He could die there of hunger and of thirst. When he saw that the Eagles were set on leaving him there, he decided to take matters into his own hands - by jumping. He peeped at the ground from the edge of the clouds and saw that it was very far, but he knew he did not have a choice. He jumped.

Hyena landed on the ground with a loud thud. The jump did not kill him. But he broke one foot. He tried to walk, and his broken foot could not let him walk steadily. From that day, Hyena walks with a limp.
