Goodmorning and Happy Sunday Nairalanders. Please have you people noticed what is happening on Nairaland recently? Do you people notice the subtle attack on religion and Christianity in particular being dished out these days? Most times, its no longer subtle! It comes out as an open and direct attack! Granted that some churches within Christendom are misbehaving. But does that make the whole of Christianity bad? Does that mean no good virtues can be found in Christianity again?

Mind you, I am a Deist and I don't go to church for reasons best known to me. But you can never see me attacking any religion be it Christianity, Muslim or what have you. Maybe once in a while, I will constructively criticize some aspects of some certain religions. But you can never see me attacking or demonizing them.

But it has come to my notice that there are subtle plans by Nairaland to demonize Christianity! A pointer and evidence can be seen on what is happening today again. This has been going on for months but todays own took another Ballistic dimension! Otherwise, tell me why of all edifying threads in the Christian section, only stuffs like;

Joke apart, Nairaland needs to take it down a notch. We know that you people are not Christians.... Or even irreligious... Lols. But do know that Nairaland is also a multi religious platform. Even if some of you dont believe in the Christian God like me, don't force it down on others! Or use indirect subtle means to make them loose faith in God or Jesus. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, mods have a criteria for moving topics to the front page and I think they strictly adhere to those rules. This is an open platform, you are free to Air your views, that's why we have topics with counter topics trailing them.
If you feel there is a direct or Indirect attack on religion especially Christianity, you can open counter threads to oppose or protect your religion, simple.

Hi Seun, I have some Satanist threads I'd love to make FP.

Actually the theists(Christians) do the damage to christianity themselves. Back in the day in a typical thread, you could get solid arguments from both parties(theists and atheists) but these days theists rarely make any convincing counter point to number of points put by the regular atheists. Some even resort to ad hominems.

Let me give an example: An atheist tries to make a solid case ( with a number of points) on why god does not exist or why Noah's flood story is shaky but all he gets as counterargument is '' A fool says in his heart that there's no god''. Really? Is that the best you can do? Meanwhile, sitting on Nairaland's fence are christian guests who are on the verge of crossing over to atheism and the best you can offer to help their doubt is '' A fool says bla bla bla'' SMH who dat comment want epp?

Also, I'd like to state that I've seen way more theists (Christian) thread on frontpage than any atheist one.So OP stop playing the victim card here. Meanwhile, same threads actually do the damage, if it's not pentecostals insulting Catholics and vice versa, it's JW disagreeing with Chosen with attacks having nothing to do with the thread itself. You do not even need the help of atheists on most frontpage threads to plant a seed of doubt , as you guys are doing a perfect job. I rest my case.
