Yorubas won the war against biafra.

Benjamin Adekunle was on ground with his force conquering the SS states and preventing ojukwu from using proceeds from oil to buy ammunition.

Obafemi Awolowo followed up with his great war policies that were applauded by world leaders as the tools that crippled biafra and brought the war to an end.

OBJ then came in by going fully into the igbo heartland and conquering it, leaving ojukwu no choice but to flee. At the end, effiong had to surrender to a Yoruba man.
Yes, they had superior weapons, and your facts are right I have known all along that Yoruba general helped win the war not the north, only an idiot will have British hardware against hungry blockaded knife wielding patriots and lose. We have also seen what a Yoruba man can do when they had no weapons. But above all we the youths of this country are the bigger cowards, look how the government have brought us to our kneels, be you Ibo, Yoruba or housa, yet the fear of death from revolution or war has kept us in misery and penury. That you should be worried about.

Those military generals stopped the country from been divided but they themselves took nigerians as slaves. They deliberately destroyed the country.

When they knew that they were unable to develop a sensible country what is the essence of one nigeria?

One nigeria thing was a bad decision.
Today we can say our father (general gowon)´s decision was wrong.

Where did adekunle fight??

Adekunle was busy shooting women and children around the outskirts of Biafra while real men went into battle under Etuk.

Etuk was the power house under adekunle who lost 1/3 of the third marine commando even before commencing operation OAU.

The surrender was to Nigeria aided by Britain & Russia and not to a Yoruba man.

Obasanjo himself was wounded in the arz during the war when he tried to flee from battle.

Any other soldier could have been in his place.

Please help me tell them.

The had heavy mobile armour, great air/sea support and heavy artillery from USSR.

Nigeria had 115mm artllery guns when the war ended, imagine.

The standard riffle for the average Biafran soldier was the bolt action riffle.

undecided I wonder what led that foolish Nnamdi Kanu to believe he can achieve a Biafra Ojukwu and his goons failed to achieve despite their military training, weapons and 30 months battle. The fraudster called Kanu knows most igbos have not forgiven the Nigerian state and the surest way to milk the Gullible and sentimental igbos will be a promise of restoration of a dead biafra in his pipe dream. He scammed them and recieved worldwide donations in $, £ and € before been locked up like a mere church rat he truly is. His cult followership has diminished rapidly when the igbos saw him for the scam he truly is after spending several months in jail without any repercursions on the Nigerian govt grin We warned the new generation igbos that their forefathers has buried biafra and pledged their allegiance to Nigeria but they instead chose to listen to that Agama lizard called Kanu grin . Even Ojukwu who was the brain behind biafra contested for Nigerian presidency and was buried a Nigerian after causing death of millions of his people and running cowardly to ivory coast for a safe haven. I suggest history of the civil war should be a compulsory course and subject in the South east so the indomie generation igbos can know that Biafra stands no chance. We the SW, Igbos and Hausa/Fulanis shall remain one Nigeria forever.

God bless Nigeria,

God Punish Biafra angry

Obj always collecting victory on a platter of gold.

- Col Adekunle (Black Scorpion) Commander, 3 Marine commando won the war but Obj collected the victory on a platter of gold.

- Gen Murtala Mohammed worked but Obj collected victory on a platter of gold.

-Bashorun Abiola fought for democracy but Obj collected victory for democracy on a platter of gold.

Obj has always been favoured by God almighty, but he has always disappointed God by not leading upto expectation. Instead, he brags about his (unmeritted) successes. No wonder, he is "The Animal Called Man".

Britain actually fought hard to broker peace after French congress voted to supply Biafra weapons, to counter British weapons flow into Nigeria. The world watched Biafra. starve, you don't beat the people, you beat their soldiers, the fact that most of the outside world think biafran war is a genocide makes the so called winners cowards instead of conquerors .

Sometimes I feel so ashamed with the kind of comment I do see in this section, you guys will always defend and support this old men (our leaders) who clearly didn't have our best interest at heart, why don't we team up and do something for ourselves instead of always insulting each others tribe.

My 2cent anyway

With all the hate directed at the Igbos from Yorubas and Hausas on NL, what exactly is the reason you still want Biafra to be part of Nigeria?

I thought if one hates a certain group of people, one's goal should be to dissociate oneself from the said group of people, or am I missing something?
