DRIFTING APART

The gap grows wider and wider.
The silence it brings seemed to deafen.
Everyone is lost in his own world.
And everything else seemed not to matter.

The hurt they feel is only felt by them.
The loneliness they suddenly start to share,
Seemed to be the criteria for the drift.
It all seemed wrong but no one care to say it.

Each of them looks away and sighs.
They have lots to say to each other but yet,
The words they form refuses to leave their mouths.
Their hearts just play it over and over again.

Why should it be this difficult to be together?
Others seem to do it and live to tell great stories.
Theirs is filled with lots of doubt and fears.
All these bring even more unanswered questions.

The darkness hangs itself over their heads.
Their distress though wrong, sticks like glue.
Each thought he is trying as hard as he could.
But all they have to show for it is this despair.

Drifting apart is a scary thing to do alone.
It is a solution but it is also an unsolved puzzle.
As the gap it creates gets darker and darker,
The hopes they may have fades with it.
