South Africa does not produce crude oil yet they sell petrol cheaper than Nigeria. There is no fuel scarcity in that part of the world yet we call ourselves Giant of Africa. By the time this government finish with us, we will be Dwarf of Africa. 30 Likes 4 Shares |

The federal government should have consulted with the NLC before removing the oil subsidy and fixing PMS pump price at a minimum of #145 a liter. But gbam, just like that, they told us the subsidy has been removed and pump price #145. NLC threatens to embark on a nationwide strike, that's when FG remembers that NLC is existing and calls them for negotiation. At the table of the so- called negotiation, the FG went behind NLC to get a court injunction forbidding NLC to embark on strike. What a joke. How can you say you want to negotiate with Labour and at same time serve them a court order? Shouldn't going to court be the last option assuming the negotiation failed? This government is a joke, a government that is insensitive to the plights of the masses. And as if that is not enough, the same FG threatens workers with "NO WORK, NO PAY" as if we are running a military system of government. 6 Likes |

concerning the strike This same court issued an injunction against the strike in 2012 and it was ignored and nothing happened, the order was even issued by the same man again. It's a black market purchased injunction and should be disregarded. When the court ordered the government to reverse the hike in electricity tariff and the government ignored nothing happened too. The government can simply choose which court order to obey, it will lead to anarchy and impunity. |

princetigris:if you are not close to government, nothing for you. With such resources and allocations, delta state should be on top when comparing it with others. Ibori looted, Udughan was the worse, Okowa seems to be going through that line, the government is only for a few. A state like delta should not be owing salaries. |
