Beaf:

It can take generations to erase the effects of a traumatic experience; military rule was very traumatic. For example, Nigerians are very aggressive because they've been beaten up by those in power, seen their parents and other loved ones beaten up by those in power. They have grown up used to being called "bloody civilians". They have learnt that in Nigeria's setting, the winner is the one that can put up the most convincing show of force (not logic or intelligence). Bad habits are difficult to drop and trauma is difficult to get over without the right councelling.

That's right. In fact nigeria is still pretty much a police state. There's a police check point at every 50 yard of motorable road. lol.

Bill cosby summed it up succinctly by saying: "hurt people hurt people"

Nigerians are very pathetic. You will push them to the wall and they will have no other alternative but to enter the wall. See how we are leaving below normal. A great musician was ones right when he said Nigerians are cowards and we can't stand for our right. People are afraid of standing up to say no to this rubbish.

If Mandela was a Nigeria, South africa would never get independence. What every youth in this forsaken country is hoping for is when he would have an opportunity to grab his own national cake. Nobody is thinking when would corruption stop.

A shameless generation I must say. But alas, what do you expect, majority of those going into government wants to steal. So it is a vicious circle that would never end.

We should post pictures of what North Africans are putting themselves through so they too can have a right to vote and speak freely tommorow.
