Please House I've always been bothered by this questions. Are graduate interns paid? or do they just gain knowledge and experience and then leave the organization?

Ok, thanks, because I was wondering with this our harsh economy, will a graduate just decide to take an internship job only for the experience without money at all... Thanks again for the clarification.

Of course the economy is harsh. It has always been.

Graduate interns generally earn close to nothing (between #0 - #100,000), they work there ass off for good 6 months (or one year) only to get laid off, except some some of them that get retained. They do most of their supervisors work and they don't even get noticed or appraised. They claim they are adding value to their CV but in the real sense they are just getting used. They develop their professional competency all to no avail. grin grin

If I was jobless and had a chance to intern at a big firm, I just politely say no and continue eating my mum's food.

Now that's me being SARCASTIC!!!!

On a serious note, I think Graduate Interning is long shot worth taking wink wink

sarcasm noted, getting a graduate intern role as a fresh job is cool, it has a lot of advantages as u get to gather first hand experience.
