Federal High Court convicts & sentences former DG of NIMASA, Raymond Omatseye to 5 years in prison , From the Photos below check the Temisan Omatseye, former DG, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, who was convicted today, May 20th,2016, and sentenced to Five years imprisonment by a Federal High Court Ikoyi, Lagos. He was prosecuted by the EFCC for money laundering, contract splitting and bid rigging at over N1.5bn while he was the DG of NIMASA. Big man being sentenced to prison for fraud. That should send a clear message to the rest of them. But 5yrs seem rather measly for a fraud involving N1.5 billion. |
