The former Nigeria U17 team that conquered the world last year in Chile who have been promoted to the U20 team, defeated Burundi U20 team 1-0 at their home in Louis Rwagasore Stadium, Bujumbura.

Nigeria, the visitors, were very lucky to have snatched that away win in this first leg of the 2017 African Cup of Nations through the 64th minute strike from the young midfield maestro 'Agor Chukwudi'.

However, the second leg is slated for the 11th of June at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State and the winner of the two legs on aggregate locks horn with Sudan in the final round of the qualifier as this is just the second round. Burundi got to this stage after their opponents 'Dr Congo' withdrew due to logistic reasons.
