Are they the only one selling? why not go elsewhere or you think there is still scarcity? alternatively, report them to DPR or sue them to court. the law says none should sell above 145!

In case you are coming from a bush where there is no communication, be informed that PDP has zone their presidential candidature for 2019 to the North and Buhari is most likely to contest again in APC. Those votes you gave to the PDP in 2015 thinking that they will zone the presidency to your area has gone in vain and you will continue to hunger for presidency but in vain.

There is this filling station in alimosho that sold fuel at 115 naira last week, but the queue was too much. Don't know if they still maintain the price till date. But I strongly believe in a competitive business. Same things brought telecommunications to where its today. Iremember the days of mtn Sim at 70k back then, but wen econet came, the price got slashed to 22k till date Sim cards r free (not saying price of petrol will be free, but it will be maintain at the gaining level)

I love the partial deregulation, it's spot on at the right time. Kudos pmb

Aggrieved Nigerians should exercise patience, let's give this administration some time to correct some errors in the past
This is still a speculation& not a certainty. Here is why I said so;
- The deregulation is partial, which means govt are the ones who'll dictate price ranges & not even the oil marketers
- secondly, comparing telecoms to the oil sector is crazy! These telecoms guy were never under a union, they have never done anything collectively unlike these oil marketers. These Major Oil marketers are under a Union (Moman) even the Independent mrkters (IPMAN) they have all in times past collaboratively joined hands to put us in difficulty (scarcity). There is no assurance that they'll not come back in future to collectively sell at a crazy price. That's the power of a United body. Telecoms coy was never under any union!!!

it is a pure disgrace to see this headline on both punch and nairaland. Price of PMS is between N135-145 so selling for N137 is no big deal. if you say 134 or less you have a news. Media clowns!

They are deceiving who ever cares to be deceived. The price of AGO(diesel) was diregulated over ten years ago, has the price gone down. I support diregulation just because it will bring peace in that sector not that price will go down! Phones are luxuries, fuel is a neccessity, the two are not comparable.
Re: Petrol Price Will Crash In One Month — Marketers by Infinitikoncept(m): 2:00pm On May 22, 2016
A few observation about oil marketers which are questions I need bright minds to engage
1. Majority of dem will use their friends company into manufacturing to get USD @ official CBN rate yet claim aboki rate
2. They will give price based on aboki rate which means d higher the USD rate d higher d price of PMS
3. When crude oil jumps up to $100 per barrel then you won't be able to afford PMS again cox if its sold now @ $45 pb & PMS cost #145 den @ $100 pb you are a goner cox market forces are determining it
4. The current budget doesn't have refinery as one of its capital project as far as the summary is concerned cox its now a secret cult property & u must be an initiate to see the full content of your 6TN naira budget so who is fooling who that they will use the subsidy money to revamp our old age refinery or build new ones?
5. Nigerians are telling NLC to fight for increase in minimum wage. Excuse me, it took more than two years for all states to implement the last one & right now majority of states are owing arrears so if dey can't pay d current 18k minimum wage how do u want dem to pay 40k minimum wage?
6. If they accept minimum wage increase what about the inflation that sets in?
These and many more are my innocent observations

Its either the economic team have forgotten basic economics law or they deliberately want to scam us again

I certainly don't think so. A business man source Forex at a N365 per dollar to import fuel to sell at N145 per liter. I don't get it. As long as the Forex scarcity continues, we would continue to buy fuel at abnormal prices.

On the other hand, our government is not forthcoming with new on the refineries. The government is looking at long term, what about short-medium term plans. I guess it has none just like it has no economic plan
If you're among the youth that Dangote sent out for training on his refinery you will know that this Government is not a scam. I believe if private is working no marketer would talk about forex again. Why not previous government refuse to grant such a license to operate.

Re: Petrol Price Will Crash In One Month — Marketers by jaytime(m): 2:05pm On May 22, 2016
I didn't need to hear from the marketers to know certainly that the price will crash very soon. Just 2days ago, Friday precisely, in one petrol station around my hood in Lagos, I saw their sales girls sitting idle, waiting for motorists to come in and buy fuel and at N145. Yet the product is relatively scarce o. Imagine when we start having the product in abundance after the whole supply and pricing bottle necks might have been removed(that's if the people who are addicted to strike action will allow o!). I see petrol marketers printing and sharing fliers like what is happening with diesel.

Let them source for the dollar, are the the only businessmen in Nigeria? We also have manufacturing and others that source for dollars, why always oil marketers. I pray the Government totally erradicate subsidy on petrol. Some marketers would collect the subsidy and still
SELL at very high price, some would bring empty vessel and claim subsidy for Million of Liters with the help of people in charge, some would bring
the fuel but Divert the product to neighbouring countries after subsidy claim and Nigerian won't benefit a liter in it. If subsidy is removed the serious ones among them would find the way of getting dollar at cheaper rate and give us the product and even sell it wherever he likes when already knows that there is no free subsidy money and diverting the product would incur another cost. Please Nigerian let us endure for a little period when private refinery would work and no marketer would deceive us with Forex. If at all if subsidy would be paid then, it would be on crude
oil not imported material, also it won't be in cash but reducing the price per barrel on crude oil to local refineries compared to imported crude oil not paying cash to some cabal called marketers. By then anyone that want subsidy would build refinery
