Anyone using this spectranet in Abuja. How's the speed like? Am considering this bonanza they keep advertising everywhere.

Spectranet is perhaps the fastest LTE network I've used. (YMMV, but I've gotten upwards of 7-10MB/s across different devices)
The problem is that their "unlimited" night plan is capped at 100GB or so, then the speed is throttled drastically to 512kbps or so.

So they are still doing this rubbish . that is why I left them in the first place.They were throttling during their free period. Fk them.

Unless they have changed their policy , all Ntel modems and routers are sold unlocked

It's been a while. Downloading 150KBps on normal sites. But google drive gives a max of 400KBps. Streaming on YouTube is very ok.

And yes their unlimited plan is truly unlimited. I mean i have used about 80GB within the past three days but that slowness is my problem. I have to settle for downloads that uses google drive to get up to 400KBps. Every other sites is just slow when downloading. kiss

I'm thinking of getting a mifi when I get back to Nigeria next year. Trying to decide one with coverage and speed. I shuttle Lagos-Asaba-Ph-Enugu frequently. Does any of these networks cover this area ? Someone with good knowledge of these things should please advise
