Liverpool just might turn out to be strong contenders for the title this season after all.  .  .their convincing 4-0 win over Stoke City on Wednesday night said as much.
New signing Glen Johnson proved Benitez made no mistake in getting him to Anfield, getting a goal against Stoke on his debut. Johnson, Gerrard and Torres will certainly provide an attack force that will make any sensible goalie wish for reflexes at fast as lightening. Glen Johnson is originally a defender, but there's no denying the weight he brings to the attack with his agile runs on the right flank. Add Dirk Kuyt to the mix, and Liverpool becomes a somewhat formidable side.
Pepe Reina will have a lot of work to do to keep from conceding though. Aston Villa is one team that's good at applying a lot of pressure when determined.

Aston Villa just might not have it as good this season as they did last season. They lost their last Prem game 2-0 to Wigan Athletic. On a good day, A.Villa are a very determined and skilled side, so it's expected that they won't just lay down and let Liverpool crush them with ease.

LOL!!! Stop fishing mate. So why haven't they lost to Arsenal in the last 5 Epl clashes with them? Teams like Stoke, Hull, West Ham, Wigan, etc held the Reds to draws last season, hardly 'young and fast', are they?  Liverpool can beat ANY team on their day, fast, slow,etc.

Villa are in shambles at the moment BUT they deserve respect all the same. All I can say is that the result won't depend on them today. It'll depend on which Liverpool turns up!
