"It's Always Summer in Lagos" is a must see short documentary from "Sights and Sounds of Lagos" tourist documentary film produced and directed by Ekenyerengozi Michael Chima.
Starring: Celina Ideh and Nunnsi Ojong.
Cameraman: Adesina Mutiu-Okediran.

It's irritating the new wave of using Western Climate to describe west African climate.

Did you all fail geography? We are bordering the mangrove rain forest. There is no summer here. Summer is NOT our weather.

We have 2 seasons. Rainy season and Dry season.

You exist here. You were born here. Why can't you be happy with your own weather and seasons?

Sir David Attenborough, from UK has gone round the world, appreciating plants, animals and climates of all regions of the world. Do you want a British dude to come tell you that your seasons are Rainy season and dry season before you realise it?

If you foolishly insist we have summer, then where is our Autumn? Where is our Spring? Where is our Winter?

We don't have because these are not our seasons.

Apparently, you don't understand the phrase as used by the visitors to Lagos whilst describing Lagos to their friends in America.
You missed the point and the context of the phrase.

A visitor to Jos Plateau in December can exclaim, "Oh, Boy! It's winter in Jos!"

The tourist documentary film is promoting Lagos and the tourists are saying that it is always sunny in Lagos like summer.
It has nothing to do with me.
