The words of Gov Akpan Isemin (RIP) still best describes us, we suffer from "etok syndrome."

A syndrome that Gov Attah tried to deal with with grand visions for the state.

A syndrome that Gov Akpabio tried to deal with with uncommon transformation and mega giving.

Only for Gov Udom to reinforce that syndrome with "Dakkada," for 4 liters of kerosene?

How much is 4 liters of kerosene?
Why couldn't Gov Udom at lest wean some people off kerosene by giving them 5kg of cooking gas + burner?

Standing5:
Father christmas govt . . .
Our own democracy should be renamed distribuocracy. FG grabs n share some to state. States too share further down the food chain and the we all go home expecting productivity.

Hmmmm........ They want productivity, economic diversification and industrialization from the government yet, in the name of getting their part of the national cake, they blindly accept from the same government the frivolous gifts on which the government wastes part of the capital meant for industrialization and diversification of the economy. What a pitiable mindset on the Nigerian followership. I have always insisted that Nigeria does not really have bad leaders but very bad followers.

I thank God that my Edo is up to date on salary payment and occupies 7th position on the GDP rating despite not collecting too much from the FG unlike most of her SS counterpart states. This is why I can't discard my conviction that Edo can and will stand alone if Nigeria eventually collapses. In fact being in Nigeria is a draw back to Edo.

If this is true, then I weep for Akwa Ibom. Where is the much talked about "technocrat" in Udom? How about commisioning a cottage industry since he rode into the hillltop mansion with the industrialization mantra?

Udom! Udom!! Udom!!!
