Responsibilities

This is an entry role for fresh graduates with background in Information and Communications technology who will receive on-the-job training. The ideal candidates will play crucial roles in the company's data management unit carrying out the following responsibilities:

Development and maintenance of data warehouse
Take instructions and co-ordinate with data managers regarding database transfers and specifications
Manage data migrations between systems
Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues
Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements
Creating and maintaining technical documentation.

Implementation of data dashboards to display data in differing formats
Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases.

Job Summary

The Technical Assistant works with the Managing Director in the preparation and presentation of reports, proposals and related activities in servicing and developing contracts and relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Organizing/conducting business review meets in order to track business operational performance.
Responsibilities

Undertakes data analysis, identifies and investigates variations and produces accurate statistics, relevant figures and facts needed by the Managing Director;
Coordinate and ensure that the MD office materials and inputs for board meetings are adequately available;
Conducts analysis on information received and reports to the MD;
Devising and maintaining office systems, including data management and filing;
Dealing with and sorting out regulatory issues;
Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;
Dealing with incoming email, faxes and post, often corresponding on behalf of the MD;
Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
Work with the PA to the MD to ensure that the MD’s programmes and activities are fully coordinated and aligned and ensure optimal utilization of the MD’s time and resources;
Producing documents, briefing papers, reports, business plans and presentations;
Organizing and attending meetings and ensuring the MD is well prepared for meetings;
Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff;
Carrying out specific projects and research as assigned;
To be available to work unsociable hours, evenings, weekends and public holidays when required;

Requirement and Experience

Minimum of 2 years' previous work experience as a Technical Assistant or Executive Assistant.
Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business Administration, Business management or any related discipline.
Required Skills:

Ability to use Microsoft office suite, PowerPoint, excel, CorelDraw or Adobe illustrator;
Ability to meet deadlines;
Excellent verbal and written articulation;

Provide customers with information on daily deals and discounts.
Assist customers in finding their choice of items or escort them to the right shelves.
Stock shelves in accordance to the company’s policies and make sure that any out of stock product is informed to the supervisor.
Answer customers’ queries regarding products and deliveries.
Guide customers throughout the shopping process.
Demonstrate supermarket items with a view to sell them.
Ensure that any damaged or expired products are reported and removed from shelves.
Perform cashier duties by handling cash, credit and check payments.
Attach pricing labels to items before placing them on shelves.
Ensure that the produce section is replenished with fresh items continuously.
Manage customers’ refunds and returns
Keep a vigilant eye on shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards
Report any suspicious activity within the premise of store.
Receive delivery of store merchandise and make sure that all items are stored and stacked properly
Keep a complete track of number and type of sales performed each day
Arrange delivery of large items to customers
Ensure that any price changes put on items immediately.
