Good day NL. I need enlightenment on the subject of Bank Verification Number (BVN). Recently, a friend asked me this same question when an app asked for this detail. Now my question is; Can a second party make withdrawals from a bank account using your bank details and BVN? How unsafe can it be really? |

What's the app all about? If it's just shopping out, it's not needed, I remember Konga.com asking for my BVN.. It's all encrypted. |

If we all follow Nairaland rules, it would somehow suck.. Well, I can't answer your question cos I don't know what the app is all about. But hey, still depends on the trust you have for the company, like I pointed out earlier, konga.com requested for my BVN, I had to enter it cos I trusted them. 1 Like |
