The Chinese have limited resources relative to their population....so they had to take the technologic path fast.Otherwise....they would have starved.

Nigeria on the other hand has lots of resources.....so why invent anything....when you can sell oil, cocoa, groundnut, palm oil, etc....and use the revenue to import what you should be making.
