HOW BUHARI AVERTED DISASTER IN OGONI LAND!

If Buhari visits Ogoniland today and an attempt is made on his life, two things are bound to happen and both leads to only one end. One is to take him out using snipers or whatever and then what? The army will wipe the entire Southeast and South South off the surface of the earth. The army, Air force, Navy and all other security forces will be given a 'shoot at sight order' to keep shelling the entire region until nothing moves again, yes, nothing. The other is to make an attempt on his life and he escapes the assassination plot; either ways, the security agents will still kill everyone and everything. So, who wins?

No matter how it plays out, the northerners will immediately commence #ethnicCleansing against the #Millions of southerners in the North and the Southerners will also annihilate the #Few northerners in the South and a full scale war that is worse than the #Biafra cum #bokoHaram war will begin. Every ethnic group will take up arm against the other and continue to kill one another till the whole country is littered with corpses. Then the international community will wade into the crisis in the name of quelling the fight and take our oil and lands away from us. Then another round of #Colonialization will begin in full gear and the few ones that are lucky to be alive will become slaves to the West. Biafra is lost and One Nigeria is also lost. So, who wins?

Then 60 years from now, one of the few lucky survivors of the war will author a book with the title: 'There was a country' or 'Buhari's visit to Ogoniland: The beginning of the end of Nigeria'; or something like that. Again, who wins?

But after a deep thought, I told myself that Buhari was right to cancel his visit and take the #Shame that comes with it. He has clearly demonstrated a rare statesmanship that is worthy of emulation. The Buhari that I know is not worried about his life; he fought in the Biafra war 49 years ago. He is a war General who has seen death on several occasions. He is only concerned about the millions of life that will be wasted because of him as well as the aftermath effect of such bloody situation on the over 170million lives of fellow Nigerians.

Thank you baba for saving our lives. You have just earned yourself the title of 'The father of a new Nigeria! Shame on you #Wailers!

God bless President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR!

the painful aspect is that their ogas who sent them out will not be in the country by then. they will leave the poor masses to suffer it all

U know the solution...regional government or diversify the economy as fast as possible...among all, regional government is better shaaa...so that what happens in other regions, don't affect others...

Boko Haram's impact on the economy is minute. Let's face facts here.

Regional government is theoretically the solution but don't you see a warlord situation in Delta, Bayelsa and Rivers states for resource control?

You can tell how a state will fare given access to it's resources based on how they are performing with little.

But wetin concern me?

Regional govt would ensure that wetin happen for region A no go affect B...it is simple...boko haram distracted GEJ a lot. People used that opportunity to loot from the country...GEJ was confused and tried everything possible to stop it but some of u were calling him names, laughed at him and wished more bombs from boko haram in order to make him look incompetent. APC championed it...now it is happening to them and they are crying. Those saying no b fashola fault sey pipe vandals dey disturb electricity supply, u guys also forgot that GEJ faced same..issue.

GEJ was confused or drunk on the wheels? Lolz grin

Nah multiple evidence shows Jonathan was not oblivious of the looting. At best he turned a blind eye and at worst he was an active participant. Well that's besides the point now.

Regional governments does not isolate any region if one is under arson. That is a limited understanding of what we will be able to achieve under a regional government. Even the world is not immune to shocks in other countries you now expect a region within a country to be better isolated from shocks within the same country!

Mba. Na wishful thinking at best.

Guy...leave resource control for regions to manage simple...no long story...

Or Buhari should continue to enjoy the beauty of multi ethnic country like Nigeria that has refused to allow resource control by respective regions...

This same story will repeat it self if a southerner who is not loved by the north should come to power...there is no love in this country bro...we pretend to love each other. There is love a bit in regions..

Then stop expecting everyone to empathize with buhari. No one says he is bad...he should deal wit it like every other president battled with ethnic hatred. It is why even international media said Nigeria is one of the most difficult countries to govern. GEJ had his own issues....I'm sure u didn't empathize wit him, so stop expecting everyone to empathize with any leader since non of them want to solve the fundamental problem of this country. Lolz, APC thought it is easy to lead Nigeria. PDP faced all these too! So the problem is not with the politicians alone....the problem is with the structure of the country . I also attacked GEJ....Buhari should face same and solve our problems and u guys should stop seeking for empathy from everyone...it won't work !

Yes
Just the way GEJ was not affected too..he is enjoying his life now as a hero

If u read my previous comment, u will see where I mentioned it that it is a pity that we found our selves in this type of political mess! It will always happen...until we sort this country out...and u don't need to insult me pls.
