So sad. We need to remember that drinking alchohol is a very common factor in drownings.
The news that they came from a party leads to suspicion of drinking alchohol being involved.
Its very easy to get disoriented in water and go into extreme panic especially after drinking alchohol.
I have rescued my fair share of people from the ocean and seen some die because I could not reach them in time. Alchohol was a very common factor and the other top factor was new comers to the beach who had little or no experience in the water. My first time at the beach 28 years ago, was a near drowning experience for me.

I remember being very afraid for my friends when we went on a boat trip after they said they cant swim if anything goes wrong

The beach is quite a dangerous place. Its not a swimming pool. People should try as much as possible to play around its shores and not do dangerous things.

I can understand how you feel = nothingness. Of course they're not your relatives not related to you on any sense. It's good to have fun, but we all die mate.

To me, this is careless death!

If you go to any beach, you'll see a lot people who can't swim risking their lives by jumping hapilly into the sea as if its a friendly water. If you can't swim well, there's no way you can control your movement once you are in there.

I have witnessed this type of careless death before and it was not funny.

RIP to them though.

This is the problem with Elegushi beach. I wonder the kind of marine spirits that are there, lurking around, looking for young people to devour. That is the last place I'll ever go to have fun. I've lost people to that beach. Even Last December, youths of my church went there to have fun but 2 boys died. Thank God I didn't go. How it happened is still a mystery. It is well.

there're no such thing as spirits.. If someone can't swim then that person shouldn't go near a pool... The beach is worse because of the waves of the ocean.. If someone can't hold their breath and remain calm while in water then avoid deep pool.. Don't even try to form for friends, tell them you can swim...

One of the most important things to never forget about life is Surviving...
