Hi all, i'm looking to get a lg g3 phone but a bit unsure about the branded variants, especially tmobile and verizon as regards network issues/stability. If you've used one before, was it stable especially with MTN ? Please drop a comment if you have, thanks.

P.S: i have searched,nothing concrete turned up.

Buy the Verizon or sprint variants, they are very okay and that's what I'm using. Avoid the ATT version as it doesn't have the 900 3G antenna. Call 0817 370 9802, he has a couple of Sprint and Verizon versions.

Run from the AT&T model which is d850 because you will only see 3g like once in two weeks. I bought it before and had to return it.

OP, it's always best you go on google and do these kind of researches yourself. However, I took the time to do some research, and i found out the D855 variant, which is the global variant, would work best here in Nigeria. It's the only variant that supports LTE band 3(1800) and 8(900) which ntel uses, and LTE band 20(800) which Smile network uses, and it's on the same band that MTN plans on rolling out its lte next month, and you can be sure that Airtel, Etisalat and Glo will most likely acquire one of those listed spectrums.

This is 2016, and when buying a phone, 3G is not really what you consider in terms of network compatibility, because most, if not all phones, support 2100mhz frequency of 3G which all our gsm networks use.

Hope you'd not go thru the battery shutting down issue users pass thru. I've had many complaints to deal with. Google is your friend.

Thank you so much for this input. However, i know all you've stated. I also know the international version can be a bit more expensive (i stand to be corrected). I'm looking to get it for someone and quite frankly, i'v seen a tmobile and verizon (former at a better price). I just want to know which checks out well in nigeria and if they don't, may just settle for the int'l ver.

If you are tech savvy, you can buy any version of the G3 and then unlock all the network bands. Its a little bit difficult but it works.
