SpaceX’s Falcon will launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida at 5.40 pm EDT on 26 May with the Thaicom telecommunications satellite on board. This launch is less than amonth after their last successful mission launch and will be the 5th one this year, which happens to be a much higher frequency than last year. In 2015 they conducted 6 Falcon 9 launches successfully.President of SpaceX, Gwynne Shotwell, stated that they actually plan to launch a total of 18 times in 2016, (triple that of 2015) and 24 launches in 2017. If successful, this would be remarkable as there were only 82 successful launches in the whole world in 2015, and 90 in 2014.
