Yes we all want longer battery life, but sometimes it's not just by buying phones with bigger batteries

battery size is not battery life
I really don't know how many times I would say this, bigger battery size of course create more room for more juice but battery also majorly boils down to the phone software optimisation. If you fix the same battery size in every phone, some phones would outlast others by far margin. Example is the htc m8 windows has a longer battery life than it's android twin, Samsung galaxy note 5 has a smaller battery but yet a longer battery life than note 4. So why buy big phones with massive battery when you can buy a more compact phone with well optimised os and get equal or even better battery life.

better processors means longer battery life
as new generation of processors evolve, apart from them being more powerful, they also become more power efficient, the best processors are also the most efficient. And most phones with massive batteries are Chinese so they would be using the rather less powerful mediatek, and If a phone with a smaller battery uses a snapdragon, It means the latter might have an equal or better battery life plus you'll get a more powerful phone

bigger battery means bigger phone and screen
Phones with bigger batteries are usually bigger in size, this means you get a bulky heavy ugly cuboid in exchange for battery size(not even life), I'm still yet to see a light injoo device thats one reason I can never buy one. Even if battery life is important, nobody wants a big heavy ugly phone. I personally would rather buy a good looking device than an ugly 5000mah phone, and so as many other people.
And also bigger screen eats up more power, so a phone with a massive battery might have a bigger screen, there by the so posed bigger battery, battery life is reduced.

charge time
Bigger battery phones takes longer time to charge. Thats simple enough.

Conclusion
If you want longer power on your device, it's best to get a phone with a good battery life than buy a phone with bigger batteries, cos truly there are phones with 2000mah-3000mah that would outlast a 5000mah phone one a single charge. Or better yet get a power bank. ............
