Seriously I was into discussion with some friends, will pull money together and buy Onwuka high tech and turn around the dead company. Does anyone know if mr Onwuka is still alive and what is still tying this company down @0.10k? We know of stories where companies that are under lock and key is doing 11 naira. Make una no finish the shares before I start buying or there will be a big hostile takeover battle between me and anyone who tries to tiff this golden hen from my hand. Abi una think say I no wan be chairman of a board? |

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 10:21pm On Feb 28, 2008 |
Prince11: According to the candles, I can see a green hanging man, which is a good sign, shows that sellers tried to pull the price down (to 26.02-day's low), but the buyers overpowered them and pushed the priced up to close at the day's high-27.49. Also the MACD is well above it's trigger line-Exp (9), and in the positive region. the MACD histogram is in the positive axis and increased further today, showing a strengthening of the bullish momentum. Both the stochastics and Aroon up and down are also very bullish at the moment. How long this will last is what no one can say, because the RSI is almost at the 70 mark (though we have seen stocks trade at RSI of 100 for several days). Let's see what happens tomorrow, but if this chart is anything to go by, we'll see AFRIBANK gain some more tomorrow.

Mr. Risky: Puts the trailing PE of NB at only 21! Some people must have seen because it gained max points (at least according to FSDH). I wonder why no one mentioned these results. It wasn't in my FSDH report. |

Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 10:40pm On Feb 28, 2008 |
Lots of differences in the pricelist today as noted by many already. Nigeriansecurities says WAPCO lost, while cashcraft, cscs and some others say it gained Prince11: Thanks man, hope it helped, looks like you are placing an order for tomorrow ![]() ![]() ![]() |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 10:44pm On Feb 28, 2008 |
upward: Wapco lost. If you compare with the NSE results, nigeriansecurities is correct as far as I can see. Most of the numbers reported by Cashcraft are unfortunately not correct. |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by upward(m): 10:46pm On Feb 28, 2008 |
pumping777: Thanks Oga pumping, makes more sense anyway. I've been relying on nigeriansecurities these days, at least for their TA tools. How is teh project going?? Hope fine, and hope you achieve all your goals with that one so at least you'll have more time. |
Re: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by pumping777(m): 10:49pm On Feb 28, 2008 |
easimoni: I think it gained about 2.77% (N1.40) based on NSE data. The result is good no doubt but hard to make out what happens short term. The closure date is over a month away to start with and there is so much the price can rise due to the promise of dividend. Long or medium term this looks like an excellent stock. The growth PAT rate of almost 100% and turnover growth rate of almost 50% is just fantastic. |

Frankly the heavy cap stocks have not done well at all. It is just now that the petroleum stocks are joining the heavy caps so I won't even include them. STOCKS 101.82 1.82 ANNUAL CHOICE 147.32 47.32 For this year, NSE has gained 11.78%, Most Cap. stocks have gained 1.82% and their annual choice have gained 47.32%.
