Management of the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) has said it would want to see a re-introduction of toll collection on some major federal roads and bridges to generate funds for maintaining them efficiently. This was the same toll gate dat was demolished some year back, with tax payer money. what is our problem in this country, just moving in a circle as new government comes into power.can this be the solution to our bad roads across the federation?.

The ' Ponzi Scheme ' Warlords are at it again.Utilising public funds to satisfy their own selfish schemes.Wasn't there a sustaining programme on ground, few years back before its demolition for the maintenance/upgrading of the various roads.

This isnt about nigerians wanting everything for free. The question is; when these toll gates were there, what was the revenue generated used for?

Im not sure about the REST of Nigeria but in Lagos if there were to Tolls, the money would go to the right place. As its been doing lately.

Maybe the rest of Nigeria should follow Fashola foot steps

that is very true, but then, what would happen after Fashola is long gone?
By the way, how do we know this is not a plot by the FERMA to create a constant pot to eat from?

The level of policy reversals in this country is too much; its like we are going backwards facing front.

Obj is not in power - Yar'Adua is. Tolls are necessary if the revenues generated would be used to maintain the roads - and in fact without tolls the roads can not be maintained periodically. So this' our quandary.
