Good afternoon, please my husband applied for nulla osta through his lawyer for me since July 11 up to 3 month now and he has not receive the nulla osta till now

You see that Nulla osta thing, just take your mind off it and focus on something else for now….it takes nothing less than 8months to get a response from them , I applied since Jan5 and I just got response from them this week… most annoying part was not that they have even accept it but still needed to bring some documents that have been submitted before(most recent) Don’t stress over Nulla Osta best believe that they will issue it but it will take time


Also Note that the issue is not only me, I have like other 3people who has requested for and yet to get response too

No. It has been incredibly frustrating and after this, I swear I am never ever applying to Italy again. I pray I never have any reason to go to Italy for anything ever again for the rest of my life. And if I do, I'd just rather apply to France (the French are not as sluggish as the Italians) or better still, just buy a second passport that does not require me to apply for visas from these Schengen countries.

How long has it been since your application?
Then if you applied via tls you can call them to know what's up bc they don't respond to mails, you'll find their contact on the bottom of their fave by clicking on contact us, that's what I did...
I had my application on the 8th of this month though.

Everything will be fine.

I applied through TLS Contacts AjoseAdeogun V. I. A friend who is also a visa agent assisted in booking a date for me.

I submitted first week in September 2024 and got visa in first week in October 2024. That is line 4 weeks processing time.

I have travelled already and I am back to the country. I really enjoyed my stay in Milan.

Last Promotion Letter. (Note, I was to submit first appointment letter)

Letter from employer stating my income, support for my travelling and leave days

Children Birth certificates

Note: I was to submit Tax Clearance Certificate. I did not submit this. But I submitted my payslip showing tax deduction. I was worried about this. Thank God it came out well.

Also, I did not take my first appointment letter along. Thinking it was told bulky. I was told by the officer that attended to me that it is part of requirements. He used my last Promotion Letter in lieu of that.

I did not keep up to 120k in my account as at the time I printed the statemnt. Yes, you read that well. However, I have fixed deposit of more than 10m (me &wiffy). I also have other foreign currencies investments. A lot of inflow and outflow of naira as well. So, for proof of fund, ensure you have investment instead of keeping fund idle in your acc(my opinion).

I was privilege to know that my doc was verified. PLEASE DONT SUBMIT FAKE DOCUMENT.

I have traveled to Milan and back to my work.

However, I was stopped by other security agents, they checked my bags for "foreign items", nothing was found and I was let go. They saw my hotel reservation in my handheld clear bag. I have just two bags. Items in my bags relate to holiday survival items like bathing soap, tooth brush, beverages light cloths etc

Italy takes about 4 weeks

I am sorry for the refusal. Please before you reapply, review and improve your documentation, it matters alot in Schengen visa application. You need to show that you have meticulously planned your trip and everything is taken care of.
You can also share the documents submitted and we will guide you on the areas to improve on before reapplying.

Okay, so is this a coincidence or do these officials read these threads? Right after my rant, I Got a notification on Friday 19th, and the passport was delivered today. Visa issued by the Italian Embassy.
Docs submitted:
1 Intro Letter stating the purpose for travel including a summary of my proposed itinerary. I ALSO disclosed the fact that I planned to visit Greece and France after Italy. Visiting multiple Schengen countries as part of your vacation really is inconsequential to their decision-making process in my opinion. Be honest folks.
2 Completed form
3 Bank Statement 4 months
4 Company Letters confirming status
5 Insurance Cert (worldwide cover)
6 Hotel Booking(s)
7 Flight Itinerary
8 Photocopies of previous (as far back as 2013) and current visas

I am a frequent traveler to the US, UK, SA, Seychelles, Mauritius, etc.

I don't see why folks rush the French embassy via VFS. The experience at TLS (for me) was superior with little to no delays at the center. But Italians like to take their time so expect a 1-month wait for their decision. Renewing my 10-year UK visa was also a breeze at TLS.

Thanks for this update. How much was paid for insurance ? Also, how do one book appointment with TLS? Can the appointment be booked ahead while arranging other documenets?

My application turns 1 month tomorrow, frequent flier, no response from the IT consulate yet, I’ve sent series of emails, this is tiring.
