[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: What is stroke? stroke is a disease that affect the arteries leading to and within the brain. It is the no. 5 cause of death in united state.
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: Types of stroke; stroke can be caused either by a colt obstructing the flow of blood to the brain called an Ischaemic stroke or by blood vessel rupturing and preventing blood flow to the brain called a Hemorrhagic stroke.
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a cloth, bursts or ruptures.
When that happens part of the brain cannot get blood and oxygen it need, so it and the brain cell die.
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: The effect of stroke; the brain is an extremely complex organ that controls various body functions. If a stroke occurs and blood flow can't reach the region that controls a particular body function that part if the body won't work as it should
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: Stroke risk factors can be changed, treat or controlled.
1. High blood pressure is the leading cause if stroke and the most important controllable risk factor for stroke. Many people believe the effective treatment of high blood pressure is a key reason for the accelerated decline in the death rates for stroke.
2. Cigarette smoking in recent years studies have shown cigarette smoking to be an important risk factor for stroke. The nicotine and carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke damage the cardiovascular system in many ways.
3. Diabetes mellitus is an independent factor for stroke. Many people with diabetes also have high blood pressure, high blood pressure cholesterol and are overweight. This increases their risk even more. While diabetes is treatable the presence of diabetes still increases your risk of stroke.
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: RISK FACTORS FOR STROKE
1. Age the chance of having a stroke approximately double for each decade of life after age 55. While stroke is common among the elderly, a lot of people under 65 also have stroke.
2. Hereditary (family history) your stroke risk is greater if a parents, grandpa, sister or brother has had a stroke. Some stroke maybe symptoms of genetic disorders like CADASIL most individual with CADSIL have a family history of the disorder, each child of CADSIL parents has a 50% chance of inheriting the disease.
3. Sex( gender) stroke is more common in men than in women. In most age group more men than women will have a stroke in given year. However more than half of total stroke death occur in women at all ages, more women than men die of stroke. Use of birth control pills and pregnancy pose special stroke risk for women.
[8:41PM, 10/06/2016] Mr Bethel Swissgarde: Poor Diet- high saturated fat, trans fat and cholesterol can raise blood cholesterol level. Diet high in sodium (salt) can contribute to increased blood pressure.
Diets with excess calories can contribute to obesity. A diet containing five or more serving of fruits and vegetables per day may reduce the risk of stroke.I recommend swissgarde A$R,cal c mag, omega plus and Aloepower for those suffering from stoke. 07062162335
