So even Fayose has reasons to blame his predecessor?
I thought it was only PMB.
grin

Come to think of it, doesn't a state governor have the legal right to probe his predecessor?

If yes, what was Fayose waiting for all these years?

All politicians are fantastically liar/thieves, mostly past and present governors. But what did fayemi do with all the money he borrowed plus fg allocation in four year? Oh, he bought bed with the money, yes. Fayose our friend, what did you do with the bailout fund ekiti state collected? The bailout was mean't for salary arrears and nothing else. So, why are you still having/owing striking worker's salaries? You better checkmate yourself so that you don't fans enmass.

GEJ left 5000MW, highest GDP in Africa, 25th best economy in the world, 30billion dollars foreign reserve, emerging economy destination in the world. What do we have now? disaster! What did Fayemi left, 6months unpaid workers salary.

Which 5000MW did Jonathan leave? Instead you should be saying that GEJ lost 5000MW or more (depending on if you are using installed capacity or generating capacity) as Jonathan sold off all of Nigeria's power stations at ridiculously low prices to friends and cronies.

How was Nigeria's attaining the highest GPD in Africa an achievement of Jonathan? Is it jonathan that fixed crude prices at an average of $100 pe barrel for over 4 years or he is the one that birthed the whole of Nigeria's estimated 180 million population. Due to our High population, Nigeria's GDP will always be among on of the highest in Africa.

30 billion foreign reserve? How much foreign reserve did he meet and how much foreign reserve should he have left, after 4 years of selling oil at an average of $100 for 4 years? Jonathan had the worst foreign reserve difference (foreign reserve when taking over government minus foreign reserve when leaving) of any president in the history of Nigeria. In January 2015, Nigeria's foreign reserve was $34.49 billion but by the time Jonathan was leaving in May the foreign reserve had reduced drastically to $29.17 A difference of almost $4.5 billion. If Jonathan was still president, it is certain we would not have had $1 left in our reserves.

I am adding a graph to show that Jonathan squandered our foreign reserves apart from our crude earning (despite record crude prices and production) during his reign.

Fayemi to me ruled Ekiti with the fear of God,but the present occupant of Govt house who has refused to divulge the actual figure of Ekiti Internally generated revenue to his workers is a call for concern. Why has he refused to tell the people how much the state has been making on monthly basis. This is a terrible precedence .

What Buhari and Fayose are saying is different. Buhari lied that he met an empty treasury but we later got to know that there was more than $30 billion in the foreign reserve, we were later told that from the 'empty' treasury he met he was able to bail out States that couldn't pay salary. Buhari kept lying that PDP destroyed Nigeria but APC right now is filled with former PDP stalwarts: OBJ, Atiku, Saraki, Amaechi among others, so who is deceiving who. Compared with Lagos IGR, the federal allocation, the project Fashola did in Lagos and the huge debt he incurred, he performed woefully in Lagos, u and I can see how he's messing up in the power sector now

What are you saying? Jonathan did far worse than Fasola. When Jonathan took over Government in late 2009, Nigeria's external debt was just about $4 billion with a foreign reserve of $47.7 billion ( Yaradua actually grew the reserves to $63 billion in september 2008 before he started having health problems). When Jonathan was leaving on May 2015, Nigeria's external debt stood at about $10 billion and our foreign reserves stood at $28.6, all these at a time crude was selling for $100.

In Nigeria, state governors still have problems depending on Federal allocation. Why?
A competent state government should think of IGR within the state and of course without pressing so much on the people.
Our perspectives about governance is so myopic, primitive and lacks credibility.
These people are quick to make campaign promises, desperate to get power. When they succeed, they started telling the people cock and bull story. Bullshit !
Very incompetent, greedy and cruel people.
i pity those who still talk about tribe or party on national issues. You better start facing issues holistically and be objective for the betterment of the next generation. I sorry for Nigerians! #isorryfornigerians#

Fayose is right, same way Aregbese debt would have crippled Osun economy for whoever the governor of Osun would have been if the debtor-in-chief had not won for second term, same with Ajimobi and Fashola( thanks to huge Lagos IGR, Ambode would have been in soup). Those governors are selfish and irrational sometimes, they will borrow so much that it may take 10 generations to repay just because they want to create a false sense that they performed well during their tenure, thereby making the coming governor to look incompetent.
But we see what they did with those loan, Aregbesola remain the best Governor of Osun State in term of development and infrastructure. Same is Fayemi and Fashola remain the best Governor so far.
