Now in choosing the right platform, I am going to be introducing to you "Wordpress" for the benefit of those that are not familiar with that platform, wordpress is a user-friendly blogging platform which gives users varieties of Content Management System (CMS) to enable you create your blog to your taste and with the millions of plugins it has got you are sure to easily create your blog to also favour search engine optimization. Wordpress is in two version: free and paid, where you have your site self-hosted on a .com domain rather than the free one hosted on a . But I will advice you to go for the paid version because it makes your site appear professional and search engines tends to give more preference to it than the other. 1. Niche
2. Content
3. Keyword Popularity

The first one on the list which is "Niche" is where many bloggers go wrong as in choosing the wrong niche. In choosing a Niche, we should check the market first and see if it is profitable. There are many advertisers that are ready to pay significantly high for specific Niches and also advertiser that pays very low for other niche. So if you a blogger blogging on very low niches you will end up not making massive income with blogging...

Talking about choosing the right (high paying) niche to blog on, there are a few I will quickly mention here which are:
1. Health
2. Insurance
3. Technology
4. Celebrity
5. Law firm
Blogging on the above niches will be highly profitable.

Next on our parent list there is Content, Content is King! Google changes their search engine algorithm periodically but never rules out the relevancy of content. Content I mean ORIGINAL CONTENT. Once you are blogging on the right niche and you've got original content on your blog then you are more than half way to a successful blogging...

I would love to be a blogger but can't a blogger combine 3 niches in a single blog

A blogger can but I advice you focus on one and become an authority there then you move to the next one and so on. My lectures basically centers on search engine optimization SEO. What I want to help everyone achieve here is targeted traffic to our individual blogs. One sure way in which you can get targeted traffic is through search engines by posting unique contents to your blog. There are other seo techniques which I will be sharing here in my next lecture.

Before we go deep about some of the important SEO techniques, let us first know the different types of SEO, which include: onpage seo, onsite seo and offsite seo. Lets not misunderstand onpage SEO with Onsite SEO. Talking about, onpage SEO, we optimise our content for our target keyword. This includes use of proper heading, keyword placement, content quality and many other factors....

On-site optimisation refers to the process ...of making your website appeal to both search engines and users.
...In the On-site type of optimization, you are not centering your optimization on a specific page as previously mentioned but optimising the entire site. You are telling search engines that this is what your site is basically all about and also helping them to better index your site on their index pages. On-site optimisation is the foundation on which the off-site optimisation process builds upon. Without it, off-site optimisation effort is nothing.
Some of the main factors that form the on-site optimisation process:
*Add keywords to urls, title tags, meta descriptions, header tags and alt tags.
*Ensure each page has a unique and descriptive title and description.
*Assign existing, or create new, pages for each keyword.
*Improve content to match/better content on competitor websites.
*Check that the site loads properly in different web browsers and screen resolutions.
*Link to important pages from the homepage and/or main navigation area.
*Improve the readability and formatting of written content.
*Check for and fix broken links.
*Claim authorship of content.
*Fix duplicate content issues.
*Remove unnecessary outbound links.
*Assess and improve page loading times.
*Add social media sharing buttons.
*Create and submit an XML sitemap.
