The Ikorodu United footballers were on their way to Markurdi for the NPFL match slated for 4pm today. The bus with which they were travelling with collided with a trailer. The trailer somersaulted and caught fire. See another photo below;

Luxury buses are usually the safest but they are a bit slower than smaller buses!

This is so sad. Our football administration needs to improve real quick. Football clubs should be able to airlift their players to their match venues. A lot of talents have been lost to road accidents.

This is terrible! NFF should see to it that players lives are secured and protected. any distance more than 300km should not be embarked on using roads. Clubs should be made to airlift their players. Travelling 800km a day to the match does not speak well for our football.

I just hope there's no life lost Sha. That's just what I hope for.
