The Federal Government’s directive for post-UTME to be scrapped seems to have come at a time when schools have already started putting plans in place to conduct the exercise for 2016/2017 academic session. Some schools had even announced theirs before the directive came. It was expected that the scrapping of post-UTME should mean that schools will not demand screening fees/charges from candidates. But going by observations, that is not the case. The major reason being that schools have already invested in logistics and planning in preparation towards the conduct of 2016/2017 post-UTME before the directive to scrap it came.
