For most of us, understanding women is an incomprehensible task. In ignorance, we believe they can never be pleased; they are always in flux and never satisfied. All these are not just denigrating assumptions on women, but liquid catalysts for conflict among spouses.

Basically, there are four (4) reasons why most women cheat in relationships. These reasons are not fixed but flexible. This means that while a particular lady may cheat for all of the reasons, another may only cheat for one, two, three or all the reasons at the same time or intermittently.
Before we look at the predominant reasons why ladies cheat, it’s imperative to point out that cheating is not limited to married couples alone. It is applicable to any sexual gratification attained or gained without the knowledge and consent of the male partner.

Primarily, an average lady have three basic needs with which she seek from her man or men. These include sex, attention and money. These desirables cannot be given nor received in bulk because while the unemployed youth has the time and energy to give, he lacks money to complete the needs; the employed youth has the money and energy but without time for the lady; while the sugar daddies have the money and time but without strength to meet up the sexual demands of the lady.

The reasons for cheating include:

1. Posterity
2. Sexual Gratification
3. Economic Benefits
4. Prestige

POSTERITY:
Most ladies cheat on their partners on the grounds of posterity. This is a situation where a lady in a relationship may wish to develop and maintain another sexual relationship(s) with the hope of marriage or other benefits in the future. Here, cheating is perpetuated with the view of gaining future benefits.

This is usually seen among higher teens and few in their early 20s. Girls at this stage often fantasize about getting married to tall, broad-chested handsome and rich men. Because perspective is tied to time and distance, it often diminishes with age.

At mid 20s, out of multiple heartbreaks, she’s likely to jettison this pipe dream and starts looking for a man with lesser qualities, especially, when the possibility of finding a man with such qualities keeps fading with the sound of the ticking clock. This is one of the reasons why most ladies would quit a relationship, double-date or engage in sex-theft when she is not sure of her future, even in the presence of attention, money and sex.

SEXUAL GRATIFICATION
Sex is good but kills like sugar. Everyone needs it but very few gets it in good measure. Just like men, ladies also cheat if the sex is constantly bad. The sexuality of the woman is sufficiently different to the man. While the man’s sexuality is orchestrated by his psychological instincts, where he is moved by what he sees and hear, the woman’s sexuality is rather programmed based on her biological composition. This is a situation where she is ‘high’ during her ovulation. Failure to gratify this need at this time may predispose the lady to temptations of seeking it elsewwhere which ultimately results to cheating.

In conclusion, the lady would have to cheat to gratify this need even in the presence of attention and money.

ECONOMIC BENEFITS
This is a situation where a lady would cheat for economic purposes. This is not limited to monetary inducements, but any property or services received by the lady in exchange for the sex. This is seen in offices where Bosses coerce staff into sex for economic reasons; students engaging with Lecturers for grades; etc.

PRESTIGE
It’s been said that ladies are more likely to fall for famous guys than otherwise. It’s a known fact that ladies love to be associated with tittles. They love to attached to famous men of pronounced social status in the society. This is a situation where a lady would agree to indulge in sex with another man specifically for the purpose of being attached to the tittle of the man.

An example here is a situation where a lady would indulge in sex with a certain tittle holder, his relatives or associates, just to be attached to the tittle. Ladies are ready to be part of a tittle-man’s legion of sex-mates even when there is no love, money nor attention.

In summary, while men cheat for two (2) reasons, women cheat for four (4) reasons. This does not mean that women cheat more than men. Understand your woman and she won’t cheat on you.
