If your papaya tree- stands come into the second production period ,you may witness some misshapen fruits on the tree. This is a physiological problem caused by the absence of boron in the soil. This problem also affects other fruits.
To manage this farming challenge the plant need a spray of borax or other foliate fertilizers for quick recovery or a soil applied micro nutrient containing boron.
When one considers the loss this could sum up to in papaya farming then prevention becomes inevitable. Arm your farm with micro-nutrients enriched fertilizers before flowering begins.
