– Coach Salisu Yusuf says Nigeria only needs self belief to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup – Nigeria will look to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup finals having qualified in 2010, 2014 – Nigeria didn’t qualify for the 2013, 2015 Africa Cup of Nations finals after winning the 2013 finals Super Eagles interim coach Salisu Yusuf says Nigeria needs self belief to qualify for a third consecutive World Cup finals. Coach Salisu Yusuf Nigeria failed to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and also crashed out of qualifying for next year’s finals. The Super Eagles could face the likes of Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Senegal and Tunisia for the third round qualifying draw which will be held in Cairo, Egypt on Friday. “We may not be one of the top seeds for the qualifiers but that does not mean we are not good enough to qualify for the World Cup,” he told AfricanFootball.com.
