The wonder-boy lead Nigeria U17 Team, Golden Eaglets to its World record 5th title last year in Chile, making Nigeria to edge out world giants , Brazil with two trophies clear after Nigeria has won it 5 times compared to Brazil's 3.

Apart from setting the record for his country, Osimhen equally made personal world record after the starlet netted 10 wonderful goals in the tournament, which no one has ever achieved. He outshone his contenders for the highest goal scorer awards with 6 goals clear ahead of the second placed German starlet, Eggestine who scored 4 goals while his teammate, Chukwueze Samuel claimed the third with 3 goals.

However, Osimhen is now with the youth team of Wolfsbourg FC in Germany and he is part of the U20 team that were promoted from the U17.
