PERSUASION, INFLUENCING AND NEGOTIATION SKILLS - TNSB

Nigeria, as many nations across the world, is a nation of unemployed graduates who can be defined as humans who attended higher institutions of learning but unable to secure jobs due to circumstances beyond their mutual comprehension. However, unemployment in itself is a treatable disease that hinders lots of human to contribute their efforts to increase productivity. Nigeria is suppose to have lots of job opportunities because of its abundant human and natural resources. But the questions I dare to ask are:
1, Why do we continually have failed small and medium scale businesses?
2, Why are our graduates and professionals not able to secure jobs?
In an attempt to answer, government does have a part to play in the creation of jobs, but Nigerian professional, graduate and entrepreneurs alike also have a part to play in the sustainability and continuity of their businesses. Most professionals who seek jobs rather look at what they wish to take and not what they are willing to give. The underline tool absent in the midst of all of this is and has always been the lack of proper NEGOTIATION SKILLS.

On the employment side, most professionals and graduates don't just err at the inadequacies of jobs: rather they err as a result of their inability to make good first impressions on salary negotiations at job interviews or with prospective employers. As a job seeker, you must understand that you have more bargaining power than you think when negotiating a salary. The key is taking advantage and understanding the employer's negotiation salary range.

Our Instructors at TRANSATLANTIC NEGOTIATION SCHOOL OF BUSINESS (www.tnsbtrainings.edu.ng) were trained by the best business and law schools in the world, the Harvard University and MIT Sloan School of Management, We have been privileged to train over 100,000 professionals from across countries in 6 continents amongst whom includes lawyers, Magistrates, Medical practitioners, Pharmacists, Engineers, Civil servants, Entrepreneurs, Students to mention but a few, on various rudiments of Negotiations. We also currently run a joint program at the school here in Nigeria in association with both institutions and have had over 30 professionals gain the Harvard University and Sloan School of Management edge. We are still doing this at the Transatlantic Negotiation School.
Here are some of the Negotiation tips that can work for job seekers in a bid to hammer out the best pay package for you:
This is FREE!

1, Understand that negotiation involves 3 key elements; The more you understand what is involved in a negotiation, the better equipped you can be to be successful as you exhibit strong salary negotiation skills. Negotiation involves three elements.
a, Information
b, Time
c, Power

2, Do you realize that your salary is negotiable?

3, Focus on the value you will provide

4, Create stories that show the problem, action and result

5, Discuss salary only after your potential employer knows your value to the company

Our school, the Transatlantic Negotiation School of Business, has set up a customized program for unemployed Nigerian professionals and graduates called; the PIN Program - Persuasion, Influencing and Negotiation Skills program. Like we have done before, the TNSB set to give this time to unemployed youths and graduates who need these skills to improve their efficiencies and outputs.

After the training, our candidates have an option of becoming a consultant to our consulting department.
