There's nearly no academic year without a strike action organized by the Academic staff union (ASUU) and their non academic staff counterpart (NASU) .

Students were hoping this whole thing won't last for more than a week because of the APC led government on ground, not knowing our suffering has just began.. Week one gone still no hope, week two as well and this week makes it the tenth week (2months plus) that we've been at home sitting idly.

Hope came back alive after the governors court case victory where he addressed the press by saying the "strike action will be called off within the next ten days"

We were all beaming with smile and happiness that at last we get to go back to school. Not knowing it was a political gimmick from Governor YAHAYA BELLO, students planned to take to the street to protest but everyone was just too scared for their life as we all know the so called peaceful protest often turn to a blood bath in Nigeria.. Taking the uniport and the pro Biafra protest scenario as an example where unarmed populace were massacred by the Nigerian police. The saddest part is that these lecturers worked tirelessly organising lectures even outside the timetable just to see their students succeed.
It's also important to state that business activities is nearly at zero level because the students are the major consumers in anyigba.

Since we can't do a real protest, I urge all KSU students to take to social media and keep tweeting till help comes our way. The hash tag is #KSU #ASUUstrike

How true is the information that says that Govt already paid four month out of month owed to ASUU yet they refuse to call off the strike.
