The dullard should stop using INEC to cause confusion in our darling PDP. We would go through this phase and come out stronger.

GEJ for 2019!

for how long will you continue to chase shadow? If as young as APC is,they are causing confusion in PDP of 17yrs old; then PDP as a party is in shambles. APC as opposition then, confused PDP; APC as the ruling party now are still confusing PDP; something then is fundamentally wrong with PDP. You better stop this trend and look inward. The same stupid way S/S and S/E always lay the cause of their problems at Tinubu's door step. For once,call- out to ur own leaders too. Pls abuse me,for that's the best you always offers.

I think it's high time these politicians starts reasoning and stop making selfish moves that will lead us to nowhere. The governor has had these sheddings, (though that is politics for us anyway) but more of the pushings will only lead us to more and more compiled woes. We still have so many things undone. Let our resources go to the directions, not being used for unending battles that leads us nowhere. I rest my case.

That's d position of the law...u can't issue a certificate of return while there is an appeal and application for stay before an appeal court...that's unheard of...but I've seen a lot of strange things in this govt(e.g freezing the account of a sitting governor) so nothing surprises me anymore

You were probably in the Mars when Nyako's account was freeze during the last administration

INEC has not been served with the stay of proceedings from the appellate court.

Its that simple, they normally await an order until the window of appeal closes, then they go on to execute what the lower court says.
Re: Ignore Ogah’s Illegal Certificate, I’m Still Governor – Ikpeazu To Abians by shaibu123: 4:42pm On Jun 30, 2016
Why can't ikpeazu step down and await the outcome of his appeal.Look at Brazil the president step aside awaiting the final outcome. Only in nigeria is where court order is not obeyed.

You are very correct, but what happens when they (Ikpeazu's legal team)FAILED to NOTIFY INEC?
The legal team of Ikpeazu FAILED to NOTIFY INEC within the time frame allowed by law, thereby making a fatal error.

I hope desperate politicians and power mongers will not endanger our hard-earned democracy? Not that democracy has delivered expected developmental dividends though but at least there is hope of continuous learning and improvement. Pray for Nigeria!

Appealing a judgment of a lower court does not amount to a stay of execution.
The judgment of a lower court can be executed even when you have gone to appeal court and failed to obtain a STAY OF EXECUTION with motion on notice or failed to NOTIFY relevant authorities.

When you go to Appeal Court, you must seek to obtain a STAY OF EXECUTION of judgement from a lower court with motion on notice. You MUST notify the relevant authorities to that effect.
