The first driverless car in Nigeria was seen on the streets of Lagos today. The car was brought to Lagos in preparation of a world class tech seminar in Lagos.

I have seen and read how it operates. It depends on hundreds of inputs primarily gps, cameras, NFC, traffic light and so on. Even the white lines on the road for its navigation. So consider how almost all these factors are in terrible shape in Nigeria. the gps is hardly up to date, the traffic lights aren't obeyed and so on.Mind you am a staunch advocate for technological advancement in this country ASAP.

This is not the right time for this in my country.

not to be pessimistic but a fatal accident was recorded recently with a driveless car. it couldn't differentiate the white colour on a truck from the clouds and ran into it. the passenger died. you could check skynews technology for details. so just be careful. the Issue is being looked into
